Before we start this excursion into the wonderful world of yugioh, lets define a sport. From the dictionary it states, a sport is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature. Okay, now we can begin.
Yugioh is a trading card game that originated in Japan and has come in the US and stayed popular for about 7 years now. There are many competitions nationally such as nationals and regionals. It is supported throughout the country as positive development for the mind and math skills. It is also endorsed by many privately owned businesses we yugioh players call "locals." Now, one may argue that yugioh is a sport because it does require mental prowess and some physical activity. I mean, you don't shuffle those cards with telekineses do you? I am here to also state that it requires skill. Skill is specified in yugioh as knowing top decks, building a top deck, and using that top deck to beat the other top decks. Sports require top of the line equipment, yugioh requires top of the line cards. You can't win nationals with jank now can you? No, you need to spend $700 on a deck, take it there, and win. So in closing point, yugioh is an extreme sport and it should be recognized as such. P.S. this is the brief version since I have calculus homework to do. Ponder as you will. If so, then I have a anti-Lightsworn Six Samurai deck and was wondering how to put together a Fortune Lady Deck just for kicks (not available until next game though). New Blog: Writing

Like the DS/PSP games. Was thinking of buying the new one along with the PSP Go this winter. It beats having to put together real decks (cost-wise), and with WiFi, the accessibility to face people is much higher than with cards. I'd rather play Magic if I had actual cards. If all the cards are available though, I'm gonna run a Spellcaster counter deck as a side cause I happen to like magicians before they were shafted with all these new meta-game cards. Spellcasters are really good in terms of offense and defense but if you add another high lvled magicians you might have trouble summoning unless you have magicial dimension loopstar: Spellcasters are really good in terms of offense and defense but if you add another high lvled magicians you might have trouble summoning unless you have magicial dimension Oh no, I do know that they're good but in-game I always seem to lose against the Blackwings and Lightsworns. The only 7/8 monster I run is Endymion and that's with the support of Magical Dimension or through Endymion's Citadel, although I recently switched it over to Spell lockdown via Village of the Spellcasters, Magician's Valkyria 2x and Royal Decree.
