Before we start this excursion into the wonderful world of yugioh, lets define a sport. From the dictionary it states, a sport is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature. Okay, now we can begin.
Yugioh is a trading card game that originated in Japan and has come in the US and stayed popular for about 7 years now. There are many competitions nationally such as nationals and regionals. It is supported throughout the country as positive development for the mind and math skills. It is also endorsed by many privately owned businesses we yugioh players call "locals." Now, one may argue that yugioh is a sport because it does require mental prowess and some physical activity. I mean, you don't shuffle those cards with telekineses do you? I am here to also state that it requires skill. Skill is specified in yugioh as knowing top decks, building a top deck, and using that top deck to beat the other top decks. Sports require top of the line equipment, yugioh requires top of the line cards. You can't win nationals with jank now can you? No, you need to spend $700 on a deck, take it there, and win. So in closing point, yugioh is an extreme sport and it should be recognized as such. P.S. this is the brief version since I have calculus homework to do. Ponder as you will. how good are the lightsworns and blackwing decks in the game?
masamunee: Oh no, I do know that they're good but in-game I always seem to lose against the Blackwings and Lightsworns. The only 7/8 monster I run is Endymion and that's with the support of Magical Dimension or through Endymion's Citadel, although I recently switched it over to Spell lockdown via Village of the Spellcasters, Magician's Valkyria 2x and Royal Decree. It's because... Spellcasters are slow. And lockdowns don't really work against Lightsworns. lolol heart of the cards
daStrike: It's because... Spellcasters are slow. Haven't tried the PSP one but the DS games have staple cookie cutter decks. Relatively easy to take care of but they will hurt you if you get careless. daStrike: It's because... Then you should add more marionites to increase the burning of your opponents, or just add more magicial dimensions. if your monsters are being destroyed you can take advantage of defenders effect by removing counters from other cards like pitch black power stone, i adapted so much that i dont use citadel at all.I did this by adding more stronger magicians like cyber magician, dark magician girl or OOORRR! ADD ground collapse to avoid spawns kevingill7: hmm do you play? and if you do, what kind of deck do you run? I run Morphtronics, although I'm creating an X Sabers atm. 8 more cards until completion kevingill7: you know, i have no idea what a cookie cuttter deck is You know what cookie cutters do right? Clone cookies from the dough? Same concept. People look at a winning formula for a deck in a tourney and they change slightly so the strategy improves. loopstar: Then you should add more marionites to increase the burning of your opponents, or just add more magicial dimensions. if your monsters are being destroyed you can take advantage of defenders effect by removing counters from other cards like pitch black power stone, i adapted so much that i dont use citadel at all.I did this by adding more stronger magicians like cyber magician, dark magician girl or OOORRR! ADD ground collapse to avoid spawns I wouldn't add DMG unless it was for the lulz. But I did every little possible thing with the deck. But this was the game, so not every card was available... such as this one card I forget the name of right now. But she would have helped immensely. So I'm shelving it until I get the PSP version. Actually guardian sphinx locks down spawns and such and creates openings with its reusable aaffect! daStrike: I run Morphtronics, although I'm creating an X Sabers atm. 8 more cards until completion ooo nice local tournament? loopstar: Actually guardian sphinx locks down spawns and such and creates openings with its reusable aaffect! You have no idea how quickly JD drops onto the field.. Returning them back from the grave isn't hard to do also. Celestias also does the trick. @Above: Yep. I don't play seriously enough to go to any other kinds. Wow, that's so wrong.

daStrike: It's because... Spellcasters are slow. And lockdowns don't really work against Lightsworns. Slow as in terms of spawning? cause if spawning is a problem or any1 its good to add ultimate offering to add more spellcasters also to lockdown a light sworn you could use Chaos sorcerer which removes from play cards or for weak attacks use cyber magician Register / login
