I have a question for atheists. You believe that "something" sparked life right? Would you consider that a God, because in religious terms, that is a God? Or do you believe that life just appeared out of nowhere?
Even if evolution existed, which is probably the case, there must be something or someone that sparked evolution. For example, we all learned about spontaneous generation in ninth grade; it's virtually impossible to create life from non-life. So, my question is: We all know something must have sparked life. Is that God? Side-question: Is it even possible to consider yourself an atheist with that knowledge? Click here if you think this post is particularly interesting or helpful.

But then again, if 'god' started the big bang or whatever else someone believes, what created god if it isn't logical for something to be made out of nothing? I don't think you can say 'cause he's god' or something similar.

that's not the generally accepted definition of a god
when people hear god they imagine some omnipotent being made to look out after them and govern everything in existence, not some universal event that sparked life and set forth the wheel of progress I wouldn't consider that a god, by traditional means Explain why you don't believe in God( i won't really try to make you believe but i'll explain :P)
Why can't we except the fact that it's so complex beyond our understanding and we'll never figure it out o.O. What if we're all apart of a big scheme or a bored game in another dimension? WE can't prove it but its still plausible. For all we know our entire 'world' is inside a marble being used by some other being to play a game and no one knows we're here. (like in MIB :D)
Yomomma: Explain why you don't believe in God( i won't really try to make you believe but i'll explain :P) Can you try explaining why you had to revive this thread? =/ Also, another theory of the Bigbang would be when Time and Space collided. Creating the huge explosion and releasing all the atoms.

Well, that would be the ''opposite'' of ''nothing''. Nothing = nothing obviously, so everything would be All the atoms possible, since atoms are the most basic stuff. Again, physicists now have an idea of how the Big Bang could've happened as a collision event between two 11th dimensional membranes.
