I have a question for atheists. You believe that "something" sparked life right? Would you consider that a God, because in religious terms, that is a God? Or do you believe that life just appeared out of nowhere?
Even if evolution existed, which is probably the case, there must be something or someone that sparked evolution. For example, we all learned about spontaneous generation in ninth grade; it's virtually impossible to create life from non-life. So, my question is: We all know something must have sparked life. Is that God? Side-question: Is it even possible to consider yourself an atheist with that knowledge? Click here if you think this post is particularly interesting or helpful.

Lelouch: Well, I guess the point of a religion is to view God as divine. If he was a life-form, I guess that would ruin all purpose. That's fair enough. But if he isn't life, then what is he? Well, really what i'm asking is, what is your definition of divine? And, what did it come from? I'm not sure humanity will ever have a definite answer and will therefore be a cause for endless discussion and clash of oppinions..Interesting though! ch0c0l4t3: are you serious? how the heck is science = religion...... and no crap science cant be 100% true we can never know everything...but we can make pretty logical guesses...a lot more logical than believing some supernatural being made life Hey guys, let's state our opinions as facts! Lelouch: How about something like the atom? With better technology, can the atom be disproved? Can atoms not have existed in the first place? How about something like gravity? With better technology, can something like gravity be disproved? with better technology, the atom was proved. Gravity is a fundemental force. It exists. No amount of technology is going to prove gravity doesnt exist. Why do things fall >>what ever the answer is, it is gravity. Lelouch: How about something like the atom? With better technology, can the atom be disproved? Can atoms not have existed in the first place? How about something like gravity? With better technology, can something like gravity be disproved? again...whats this got to do with your main topic? God created creatures, and they evolved.
sunsunsoju: God created creatures, and they evolved. That's what I was led to believe an hour ago, though apparently, scientific experiments have been conducted in attempt to prove evolution and it has failed. sunsunsoju: God created creatures, and they evolved. But how did God come to be sutper: umm no. Better technology just means that the measurements are more accurate than before. It doesnt mean that all the numbers change. In one experiment the temp of the system increases. Ten years later with a thermometer 1000x better, the same experiment is done. The same results will occur. It will not just become the system becomes colder. Better technology just makes values have more significant digits. What he's trying to prove is that. i.e. People used to believe that the Earth was flat, with better technology, the entire theory could be wrong. Much like with Evolution and the Big Bang. @Daemon. Oh God, you wikipedia the 1O'Cs? Might as well find the story of Creationism in the book of Guiness World Records. In the Bible, yes in the Bible the fourth commandment is Honor your Father and Mother. Note, there are other versions of the 10'Cs. New Pic: Rawr.

The change in scientific perspective changed that. The "science" back then isnt science. When people actually started to do science, all of the dumb things they believed went out the door. Elaiina: But how did God come to be God always existed. ch0c0l4t3: well we all know that the theories could be wrong but the new tech is not gonna prove god is real either... I didn't say it would prove God exists. God is divine, above human understanding. @sutper, Science is right, many times, such as the mathematical calculation of the planet Neptune, but - hundreds of years from now (if humanity does survive for that long,) modern science today, may seem to them like past science is to us. I dunno if I phrased that right. New Pic: Rawr.

I dunno if I phrased that right. It may look like past science in terms that they will have flying cars or something. But the things we know today will not be wrong in the future. The orbit of neptune will still be the same. F=ma will still work. Atoms will still be there. etc. Register / login
