How many percentages would those two equal to? Not actually marks, but you know what I mean. :| IT's not calculated that, it isn't a surefire ratio. IT just helps a bit. Every college is different. But still, the most dominant part of your transcript is your SATs and grades(Honors, AP, IB, etc). The also primarily compare you to the kids at your own school, not on a national or statewide comparison. CSF = California Scholarship Federation. Basically volunteering/tutoring? Football, chess club, and debate team. Colleges look at them, so do them. ^,^
bcents65: I know for a fact that the more extracurricular activities you do. The more likely the college will choose you over others that don't have extracurricular activities in the transcript. My counselor said the same thing. He also said it's good to join more clubs that involve helping other people. Robotics starts next January. Oh. :l And that reminds me, I need like 150 more hours by February '11, or whenever I need to send out applications. @Above: I'm next in line for president of one group, vice-president of another group, and am on my school's student council. im in many
Is it weird that when I saw "y'all" I thought you made this thread?
Also, I'm not in any. tweeREX: French Club SADD UIL Math Number Sense Calculator Competition Team Peer Assistance and Leadership Idk if tennis counts I'm in our equivalent of SADD. We ended up calling it STAAND, Students Together Against Alcohol N Drugs. I woulda preferred SADD. Anyways, Foreign Language club Band And STAAND I was in the senior tennis team this year, planning on taking badminton that's coming out this month if I'm still not struggling too much in advanced functions. =/

Robotics is my prime interest.
Ping Pong is my favorite "minor" club. I went to pokemon club today LOL. I even went to chess once because I was already staying after school. I'll be joining Ultimate Frisbee in the spring. Tennis kept me busy in the fall. New Blog: I'm feeling depressed
blazi4ever: I was in the senior tennis team this year, planning on taking badminton that's coming out this month if I'm still not struggling too much in advanced functions. =/ What was your Functions mark last year? I'm currently failing because my teacher can't teach. But still, 9% above the grade average. I pretty much have to for IB. We have something called CAS hours: creativity (something creative obviously), action (sports), and service (community service).
For creativity I'm in VSA (Vietnamese Student Association). The club puts on a few extravagant shows during the year, so it's easy to rack up creativity hours. For action I'm on the track team. I'm thinking of joining badminton instead of track this year. I've always wanted to play badminton but never had the chance to (they're during the same season). Lastly, for service I'm in a whole bunch of different clubs that focus on volunteering, such as Red Cross, Club Med, Key Club, Interact, National Honor Society, etc. KewlEH: What was your Functions mark last year?
