 And honestly, you have to be pretty stupid to be hacked. Its your fault if you download a file, its your fault if you put your info in an unknown website, its your fault if someone accesses your computer. So please people, stop telling everyone you got hacked so they feel bad for you. Its your fault! And you should take responsibility for it. And you should be ashamed of getting hacked, you have to be pretty stupid to be hacked. Get a firewall and don't trust anyone on your PC. And for the people who feel sorry for the people who got hacked, stop it. Its pathetic. That's my rant, because I feel if you get hacked its your fault and you're stupid. UltiWarrior: If it is possible to hack an account this way, then why haven't the level 200 accounts been hacked instead of these level 80-100 accounts. I doubt hackers this skilled would hack for simple game accounts. They're more likely to go for credit card information. I highly doubt anyone in MapleStory has been hacked by any methods other than a scam site, keylogger, or general stupidity. Let's say you have the resources to commit a robbery. Do you rob a liquor store? Or do you rob a bank? Knowing that while you have a good chance of making it away clean with the store's drawer, the police will be on you before you can get all the bank's money. Not a 100% fair comparison, but while Nexon has done absolutely nothing against account hackers, the FBI will prosecute people who steal credit card information, etc. Risk vs. Reward. Or to show off? For a hacker with no morals, there are very few places to test his or her skills without fear of reprocussion. The people who think that you can get hacked without a keylog or a scam are clearly ignorant. You guys are uninformed, and have no awareness of what hackers can and can not do. It is not an opinion that you either have to download a keylogger or somehow give your info out to a friend or in a scam to get hacked. It is a fact. As previously stated, if you could just hack someone without any info about them except their game ID, every level 200 in the game would be hacked. I thank the you and the other people who agree with me and have some common sense. I might have been carried away when I said that people who get hacked are stupid, but at that instance they were. Now if they didn't learn from the first time they got hacked, they truly are stupid. Until they learn, they will be stupid. And if you share computers, please put an antivirus to catch keyloggers, trojans, ect... that your younger siblings, parents, ect.. that download files. It is still your fault for not securing your computer or using an insecure computer. aznMyuzik: Do you know how information is sent from a client to a server? Are you foolish enough to think that this information can't be intercepted? I know plenty about packet sniffing. And I know that you can't sniff a persons username and password with just their game ID. Give me a break. Here I'll say this. If any of you can hack my account, I give you full permission. Feel free to hack me. Fine, people. Live in ignorance. I have better things to do than educate stubborn middle-schoolers.

If you read my entire thread, I did mention the ways you get hacked. But people need to stop feeling sorry for themselves. I can ignore one, but its hard to ignore so many people. I just feel I need to give my two cents about people telling their sad little hack stories, and people sympathizing them, when in reality, they its truly their fault and no one should feel sorry for them. Also, Basil has a guide about hacking which tells the ways people can or cannot get hacked. I suggest that people that get hacked READ IT, and stop telling their hack stories. They're pathetic and in my eyes you were stupid for getting hacked. Learn from your mistake and move on. I see, Thats pretty true. This is to everyone that got hacked and whining about it, If you got hacked then that's that, remember that games are just games and Life is Life... Something like that xP.
