Allah is not a Muslim God! :O
I know, surprising isn't it? There is no " Muslim God " or " Muslim Version of God " Allah is just an Arabic word that means " The one and only, true God " Reason I made this thread is cuz I'm tired of hearing ignorant idiots * trend revolves around white people more * saying stuff like " Allah is the devil " Thinking their just insulting Muslims, but in reality, your insulting your own religion and making an idiot out of yourself : Just so you know Replies
Exactly. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all come from the same family of religions, and each worships the same god in different ways, respect, and opinions.
In the bible.
How can you tell which one is a metaphor? and which one is a serious verse? Cmon Cletus, tell us secretz :d God "Allah' as Muslims would say has 98 different names if I'm correct.
fatih13489: God "Allah' as Muslims would say has 98 different names if I'm correct. 99 names. The merciful, the savior, the king, the lord, the watcher, etc. Why should we worship someone we haven't seen or met? I am a Cristian and sit through church bored out of my mind. I don't know what to believe, but the scientific reasoning makes more sense then some Godly person creating everything.
No matter what.
Jesus Christ, is the only God out there. BTW; Christianity is not a religion. it's a relationship with God. I think Basil is just starting to learn about the religion Islam and Arabia.
Two threads counted. New Pic: BECAUSE YOU ASKED FOR IT.
assasin123: No matter what. Jesus Christ, is the only God out there. BTW; Christianity is not a religion. it's a relationship with God. you're either a really stupid christian or you're 10 years old, you decide. Allah = God, so I don't get your point.
Yeah, Allah is the only God in Islam, but it's the same God as Yahweh in Judaism and God in Christianity. The major differences between religions stem from the holy books (Quran, Torah, New Testament). Aminer: The bible was altered over the ages. If you look around us, you will notice that they are over 1000 versions of the bible. Each one is different then the other, some even contradict each other. Sure, if you want to be ignorant about it and maintain unfounded misconceptions. There are many Bibles yes, and many may well contradict eachother and say different things. That's why you ought to know the difference between the two primary groups that they are based upon; Namely: The critical text and received text as they are known. The received text is far more accurate as it is based upon the majority of the available and reliable manuscripts, so much so that it is said to be 99.99% similar for the Old Testament and 99.95% similar for the New Testament; where the remaining 0.01% and 0.05% respectively are simply basic translational issues such as intended grammar perhaps, NOT doctrinal issues as the percentage is too low. On the other hand, the critical text and all the Bible translations that result from it, are not nearly as accurate since they are not based upon all those manuscripts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FitoSaav: In the bible. How can you tell which one is a metaphor? and which one is a serious verse? Cmon Cletus, tell us secretz :d Simple: Look at the language and the context. If a vision/dream is being described, or a parable told, then it's probably metaphoric or symbolic depending on what the context tells you. In such instances however, the interpretation is usually given. (Many people perhaps simply fail to read further when they read something that confuses them, and thereby miss the provided interpretation that is included in the passage, E.g. Daniel 2). If the language is spoken in a literal manner, it's literal. If other Bible writers refer to such instances as literal, that only helps to support the fact that it in fact is. I think Muslim/Christian/Jewish split is dumb. I mean if you wanna argue about God, OF COURSE we're going to argue about his alleged "personal life" =_=
I mean I'd think it's more proper for the God/noGod split then the Jehwah/Lord(Jesus or whatever)/Allah. Thank you for clearing this up. I absolutely hate it when all the other religions, think that "ALLAH IS THE MUSLIM GOD!"
They sound like a dumb***. Lets not make this thread a religion vs religion thread. As being islamic, it's not our job to convert. If people want to believe other things, its their right. Hell, I'm muslim, and so is my dad. He was born in Lebanon, so he's grown up upon those values. However, my mom is Catholic. So I understand both sides of each religion. With that being said, people need to stop stereotyping against islamics as a whole. There are extremists. There are extremists in everything. The only real terrorist was the bush administration. People here talk about losing a son or a daughter in the War on Terror. Over there families are wiped out. andylihoa: I think Muslim/Christian/Jewish split is dumb. I mean if you wanna argue about God, OF COURSE we're going to argue about his alleged "personal life" =_= I mean I'd think it's more proper for the God/noGod split then the Jehwah/Lord(Jesus or whatever)/Allah. The thing is Muslims worship only one god the (creator) Christians worship 3 gods Jesus, god and mariam. Some worship jesus only. Some worship jesus and god. Judaism You can't be a jew unless your parents were jews. So they believe if you weren't born a jew your going to hell. Which makes it racist. Cletus: You failed to answer my question in the last thread, so I'll ask it again here. If Jesus is a prophet in Islam, then why do they blatantly ignore his teaching, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."? Because Christianity and Islam have different takes on a colorful and ever evolving story thats roughly 4 thousand years old Listing: Need friends pl0x

I've yet to see a different message conveyed. but hey, maybe you have. It's sad that corrupt people in this world will do anything to make a buck, even if it means denaturing the most holy book. =/
