Allah is not a Muslim God! :O

I know, surprising isn't it?
There is no " Muslim God " or " Muslim Version of God "

Allah is just an Arabic word that means " The one and only, true God "

Reason I made this thread is cuz I'm tired of hearing ignorant idiots * trend revolves around white people more * saying stuff like " Allah is the devil "
Thinking their just insulting Muslims, but in reality, your insulting your own religion and making an idiot out of yourself :

Just so you know

redpitbull01: We recognize all prophets as well as Jesus, who is a prophet. Muhammad S.A.W was the last and final messenger of Allah.

Well, yes.
By 'recognize' I meant they considered Muhammed the most important.

Because he was the prophet who revealed Islam to his people. And he was the last of Allah's beloved prophets.

blahs: But that's still their name for God..

Actually it's not.
Allah means the god.
It's not a name.
God does not have a name.

redpitbull01: The way into heaven is a free gift? so everyone gets to go to heaven? Clarify me if I'm wrong.

Yes, it is a free gift. But you have to accept it. No amount of good deeds will earn you eternal life(Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.)
Eternal life is only attainable is by putting complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, putting your sins under his blood. If heaven was achieveable by any other means, then Jesus's death wouldn't have been necessary.

Cletus: You failed to answer my question in the last thread, so I'll ask it again here.
If Jesus is a prophet in Islam, then why do they blatantly ignore his teaching, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."?

Because there IS no father.
In surah "Ikhlas" of the Qur'an, it says :

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten(He was not born/He has no father nor mother, and he does not give birth)
And there is none like unto Him.

Basically, he was just there.
He does not have children/family/friends.
There is nothing in the universe like him.

See, this is where Muslims say that's incorrect and where I cannot believe you. Muslims don't believe Jesus died, Allah would not let one of his beloved prophets come to harm let alone die. Basically what your saying is it doesn't matter what i do as long as i believe in Jesus Christ.

In Islam, no one will take responsibility for your sins, nor can you blame your sins on anyone else.
On the day of Judgment, every man and woman will be called forth to Allah to atone for their sins.

James 2:17
Even do faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

2 Nephi 25:23
For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled of God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.

I kind of find it unfair too, even if I'm a Christian. What if someone didn't worship Jesus Christ?

I think that good works will determine our place in heaven. But like you said, it is impossible for us to even get to eternal life with just good works. I think that where repentance can come in. I think that approaching your God with a "broken spirit and a contrite heart" is enough for him to cleanse your sins.

I'm unsure, it hurts my brain right now just thinking about it. xD

Every prophet died, excpet for Isa(Jesus)
Well, he did "die" but Allah(SUBH) "took" him in a way that one day he will come back to kill the dajal. (One eyed)

SlooowPoke: Regardless of whether Jesus was crucified or not, it has no impact on Islam as a whole. Islam acknowleges the other prophets, and tells of their stories and the significance of each, but in the end it all comes down to the Quran.

What does the Quran teach? So much that I hardly doubt you looked into.
It teaches to love and respect your parents, and that you can't enter heaven without being good to your parents. People say Islam discriminates against women because it trys to protect them with the scarf? Well Islam actually puts women above men, it says a women should be treated like a precious gem, and that heaven is under the feet of the mother, and if you aren't good to her you won't be able to enter.
It teaches to love and protect. Contrary to what people believe Islam doesnt encourage killing non muslims, that part is taken out of context. Islam says killing a human is like killing all of humanity sin wise, and saving a life is like saving all of humanity. Most of the "killing verses" refer to wars that took place during that era.
It also teaches being kind to Animals. We have the hallal killing system which is painless for the animal and makes the food more healthy. It also teaches to treat animals with respect. Theres a story of a man who was terrible all his life but was in the desert and found a dog dying of thirst. He found a well and put water in his boot, and fed the dog, and he went to heaven for that.
It also teaches to avoid anything that harms your body like alcohol. It acknowledges alchohol having benefits but the negatives outweigh the positives.

Theres just soo much more, the quran is jampacked with good values, people like to take things out of context tho.

Thing is, if Jesus is who the Old and New Testament prophets said He was, that matters a great deal.
Islam is not so different. Most of the standards you believe in, I too believe from a Biblical basis, though admittedly, much of Christianity today may not.
For example, some things I believe from the Bible include: There is an almighty, all-knowing, loving God. There will be a final judgement and we are mortally responsible for our actions. There will be a final resurrection from the dead at the Messiah's return. It is our duty to help and assist the poor. Prayer is of great importance. God forbids alcohol, gambling, and pork. We must obey God, and there is such a thing as good and evil.

I don't deny for a second that the Quran teaches many good things. I just disagree on the issue of inspiration of the work based on the Biblical requirements for determining a true prophet from someone who just writes good things. I respect that you believe that it did come from a prophet, though It is something I am forced to disagree with based on Scriptural evidence.

Some of the things I have a problem with due to differences are as follows, and please feel free to point out if any are inaccurate of Islam, as there exists the possibility that I maintain some misconceptions:
Mohammed wrote everything Himself
Jesus Wrote nothing about Himself

Mohammed killed his enemies.
Jesus prayed for His enemies.

Islam requires a sacrifice to appease God.
Christianity reveals the character of a God who was willing to become a sacrifice to save those that He loved. (A point I realize you would strictly disagree with, but I'm simply stating the belief, not starting a debate).

Mohammed had no witnesses that he saw what he saw.
Jesus had thousands.

Islam demands that people respect and honour God in return for His reward and power In their lives and, their level of commitment to that demand determines their salvation.
Christianity offers a choice that God gives people to respond to His great love for them and freely gives them the gift of salvation and power to live in such a way that brings peace and joy to the heart and a great reward at the end... to spend Eternity with the one that has redeemed His people.

Again, "Christianity" is such a loosely used and misrepresented term, I almost don't prefer to use it myself. Please don't let misconceptions about what you perceive typical (and usually hypocritical) Christianity to be, distract you from the points made.

I heard of this. http://islam.thetruecall.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=240
She was a poet who was using words to encourage people to kill Mohammed. So legally she should be punished. (Imagine someone nowadays encouraging and urging people to kill the president. Using commonsense: what do you think will happen to this man?)
But I really don't believe that story, even if it happened it was really justified. Using the example above. You can also compare it to the romans and persians: What will happen to man who challenges the king?
Anyways, It doesn't matter because in the quran it clearly states " If you are insulted by the none believers,Ignore them and walk away saying peace."
O yeah keep tell me the rest of the things. Then I will tell you some flaws in Christianity.
I hope mods don't come destroy our constructive discussion.

I didn't mean to make it seem like trusting in Jesus was the ONLY thing, I was just stressing the importance of his dying on the cross.
Like GenuineLaughter quoted "Even do faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." The point here is, actions speak louder than words. How can one claim to know Jesus while not living in obedience to his law?

According to the bible, that god did take sacrifices too, however it wasn't quite a demand..
