Ramunesun: Your photography is really eerily intriguing. Do you purposefully get that brownish tone? in which picture? StephenDedalus: in which picture? 2nd one. But now that I realize it the brown is just the background. I think it's more the fuzziness. Ramunesun: Your photography is really eerily intriguing. Lol I know, just wanted to act like it. That's my problem, whenever I try to make my own subject, It ends up not being that good. just gotta keep practicing. Read a lot of manga, look at a lot of artwork. It's all good. sometimes I mix and match aspects from different sources. Ramunesun: 2nd one. But now that I realize it the brown is just the background. FuzzyWontonz: Lol I know, just wanted to act like it. That's my problem, whenever I try to make my own subject, It ends up not being that good. suggest you not to move too fast doodling your own imagination is fine but to really draw in good perspective, i suggest you to practice drawing/sketching from real subjects or references, it really help with anatomy + perspective ex w/ the tiger, your probably better at drawing tiger now that you ref one already I started with drawing circles (literally lol) then doodling people in the mall while waiting for a movie and such :d New Pic: Gentlerain
StephenDedalus: i use a combination of filters sometimes i just play with the colour balance in photoshop when i get lazy I still can't really pin down what makes the photos stand out to me. FleurdeLis: I'm not trying to be a chauvinist pig and shove my art up your nose because I think I'm good... but I'd like some constructive criticism on my art. (I think my post got overlooked) (photobucket.com ) I just need some ammunition to finish. Well, um. The nose could be made to look more natural/less blockish. The shading under the tentacles kinda makes the face look concave. And, the face looks kind of wide. That could be because of the angle though. I really do like it though. Amazing Surreal Sea creature. Well, um. The nose could be made to look more natural/less blockish. The shading under the tentacles kinda makes the face look concave. And, the face looks kind of wide. I really do like it though. Amazing Surreal Sea creature.[/quote] Well I made the angle awkward; it's of the subject looking up.. I'm contemplating whether to take out the whole nose or not. I originally made it Voldemort-esque and had two nostrils, but I couldn't pull off the lighting. I don't want it to portray "amazing", or even beauty. I'm going for an extra-terrestrial look. How do you find inspiration for your art? I've always admired a full portfolio, as opposed to mine, which currently only this this. Thank God for 8x11 copy paper. Thanks for the criticism, though! :D FleurDeLis: I'm not trying to be a chauvinist pig and shove my art up your nose because I think I'm good... but I'd like some constructive criticism on my art. (I think my post got overlooked) I just need some ammunition to finish. the perspective is a bit weird, but that's probably just because of the way the picture is taken. face structure is a bit off. have an awesome background and it's gonna be good. semi-related note: http://plslala.com/ one of my favourites. i think you're gonna like her (if you don't already). Do you purposefully get that brownish tone?
