Question directed at atheists:
If you had to choose one religion to believe in, which religion would it be? Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc. Another question: Which religion, in your opinion, seems the most realistic? Click here if you think this post is particularly interesting or helpful.

Islam. i have a copy of the koran in my bookshelf but to be honest, i haven`t read much.
Persephone: Islam. i have a copy of the koran in my bookshelf but to be honest, i haven`t read much. Do you also believe it's the most realistic out of the religions? Personally, I'm not quite sure if there is a God at all. If I were to choose a religion, it'd be Christian, because I've grown up with christian parents.
My personal belief is that the essence of the Christian belief is what matters (Let's just say Jesus' teachings of respect etc), and it doesn't matter how you show it, as long as you don't harm others. I've kind of lost faith in the Church rather than christianity, because of all the profiting they did, and trying to keep the "normal" people and peasants uneducated. bvelk: Personally, I'm not quite sure if there is a God at all. Same here, lost faith in the church itself not the religion. The religion itself isn't bad by itself. The teachings of Jesus are actually quite logical and sane. So if Jesus's teachings by itself was a religion I'd go with that. New Pic: Bored of Me
I would rather die than choose a religion.
@ the two above: The Church is a way in which the religion is expressed and practiced. You shouldn't lose faith just because of what the Church did. Look at the the Crusades... the Christian Church slaughtered many people just because they refused to believe in God.

So if Jesus's teachings by itself was a religion I'd go with that. That's exactly what I mean. :P As long as you think about it now and then and make sure you don't interfere with others it's all good At above: What do you mean exactly? The first and second sentence kind of contradict in my interpretation. Lelouch: Do you also believe it's the most realistic out of the religions? i actually think Christianity is more realistic ; but i`d choose islam over it because i feel like there`s more compassion & dedication when it comes to being a muslim. there`s a stronger connection with allah that i don`t really experience with other religions like christianity, judaism, etc. Jediism, because it doesn't rely on a superficial entity and is self-definable.
Buddhism.
bvelk: That's exactly what I mean. :P As long as you think about it now and then and make sure you don't interfere with others it's all good Yah that's exactly what I do. Don't interfere with others' lives unless they want me to. And if they ask for advice, it will most likely fall along the lines of something said by Jesus. New Pic: Bored of Me
Eh, none of the theistic religions seem realistic to me.
I'd be pick Buddhism, though. bvelk: That's exactly what I mean. :P As long as you think about it now and then and make sure you don't interfere with others it's all good At above: What do you mean exactly? The first and second sentence kind of contradict in my interpretation. I meant that the Church is composed of humans, not God. God doesn't run the Church, humans do. God inspires the people within the Church, but we have free will. We can choose to follow his inspiration or go our own way. That's what happened during the Crusades; leaders of the Church became corrupted and averted from God's inspiration. And humans are subject to mistakes. I don't even know.
It would probably be an obscure religion though. Register / login
