Question directed at atheists:
If you had to choose one religion to believe in, which religion would it be? Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc. Another question: Which religion, in your opinion, seems the most realistic? Click here if you think this post is particularly interesting or helpful.

Pastafarianism. The most realistic religion in my opinion is judaism, but I was raised jewish and I really don't know anything about buddah or anything like that
ThaDemon3: yeah, and i wanna be surrounded by a lot of strippers, just because you want something or believe something doesn't make it true. I say the same about your "theory" about life originating from water. Just because you want to believe those scientists, doesn't make it true bud. If I had to give an answer to those questions, Buddhism most likely. I studied it last year in World Civ. and it seems pretty down to earth. More realistic than anything else at least.
Either way, I'm at the point that I could care less what people believe in and choose to live my own life as an Atheist without even a thought of insulting anyone because of their religious beliefs. Atheist would, in fact, be used loosely in my case. I just don't care is all. Many Atheists I know in real life tend to be jerks about it so I'd prefer not to put myself in the same class as them (not to say that there ARE some down to earth Atheists). Lelouch: Look at the the Crusades... the Christian Church slaughtered many people just because they refused to believe in God. The crusades were directed toward the Muslims/Ottoman Turk empire because they took Constantinople, not actually because of religion, although that did play a part in it Ethansbagel: The crusades were directed toward the Muslims/ ataman Turk empire because they took Constantinople, not actually because of religion, although that did play a part in it The Crusades against the Ottoman Turks were primarily to force them to believe in a God. Wait I mixed this up with the "discovery" of America O.O Constantinople's fall led to the Silk Road being cut off for Europe
And I would pick Buddhism as the most realistic, and it is an athiest religion itself because it has no God Roman Catholicism, pretty much for the reason that I love my fiancee enough to do so, despite being an atheist all my life.
I couldn't pick one. It would probably be one that doesn't deal with afterlife and more about inner happiness and self worth. I'd find that following a religion which deals with the human body being the most powerful deity, rather than an actual "god", to be the best of all religions.

Read about lavey's satanism, the start of his black bible describes it very well, but the rest is crap I don't really know what to believe in.
If I could believe and one, and have it be real, I'd be Christian. I'd like some kinda, thing, after death, but I'd rather just be born and live life as a human again. If there's a religion like that :s abgl015: Read about lavey's satanism, the start of his black bible describes it very well, but the rest is crap lol, isn't that what most teenagers use as an excuse to be incredibly selfish and self centred? :P TheShinji: lol, isn't that what most teenagers use as an excuse to be incredibly selfish and self centred? :P I've never read it or heard of it, but I get my selfishness from being a teenager on its own, not from any outside source :O Well, most teenagers would be inaccurate lol. my bad :P
But it is a wide reaching excuse a lot of people use :P Register / login
