Nexon cheats lv 200 players!
Maple story Forums : General MapleStory : General MS questions and answers Thread starter
Okay, so I always thought the rankings worked like this- Lets say two people are level 198. One gets to 200 before the other, but ultimately they are both lv 200. Person A reaches 200 first, so Person A shows up as number one permanently, while Person B, though being level 200, shows up number two permanently. While this is true and factual information, there is something wrong, as when someone immigrates from one server to another, they take precedence over the players that were already there. How is that fair?
Here is an example. Go here (Official Site) and click on world 'Bellocan'. As you will see, in rank one is Salleem the night lord, an immigrant level 200 player. In second place is WANDWAKKER, level 200 mage, native of server Bellocan. I was there when WANDWAKKER reached level 200, he was the first level 200 player in bellocan, showed up number one in Bellocan world ranking. But then there is Salleem who shows up from another server. Sure he was level 200 before Wandwakker was in another server, but wandwakker worked hard with the bellocan competition and ultimately was the first to reach 200 in this server [very late in relation with other servers]. Salleem probably did not face the same pushing competition wandwakker did, as Salleem was probably beat to level 200 from many others in a probably previously overpopulated server. So it is in my opinion that I believe WANDWAKKER should still be number one of bellocan, not the foreigner Salleem. I believe that our world ranking boards should be based on who was level 200 first in that region. So say for instance, Fangblade server transfers from Bera as rank 1, to Bellocan as rank 31, behind all current level 200 in Bellocan as of 1900 Nov. 7th, 2009. It should be made as a notice that your ranking will be affected by doing a server transfer, before you acknowledge it and use it. They should be well aware of the consequences of them changing servers. I just don't think it is fair that these players who worked so hard to reach level 200 in their server, and became rank one and were proud of their accomplishment, and able to rest in peace knowing in their server they were the best. Then this outsider comes along and takes his glory, when they were not even original competitors for first place. It's as bad as when players would first reach level 200. Fangblade was proud of his accomplishment, as the first level 200 in all of GMS, suddenly, what is this? Curryishott is now number one of all GMS! The original settings of the rankings was solely based on your exp. Level 200 players could continue to gain exp, so though there is no real accomplishment in grinding, players could not find a stopping point, not even at the max level. Fortunately, this system was changed to a first come first serve basis. So what is all of basil's opinion? Do you think the current system is fine? That a number one player of his server can just be surpassed by an already level 200 immigrant? Or do you think it should stay as whoever is level 200 in that server first, is how the order should be based. I personal prefer the latter, that the winner stay the winner. But of course, Nexon will always keep it as is. If they chose the latter, that would just mean less level 200 players who will spend their nx on server transfer coupons, knowing they would lose their place in their server. You missed the "I don't give a crap about rankings" choice.
Ace987: You missed the "I don't give a crap about rankings" choice. See when you make choices like that, the irrelevant, neutral choices, everyone on basil picks them, and that just makes the poll invalid. Whats the point? Don't be a silly goose. lol i didnt realize that.. :o
i r agreeiing
i kinda agree this isn't very nice:P but to be honost....ranking is useless these days since u can leech urself to 130-140 easely in a week and then get to 200 in a couple of months ...ranking ....dead =)
Listing: zhelm tonight !
True, and when they show up on the overall rankings, they're still ahead of the other.
I don't care about Nexon's feelings. They dont' care about ours, why should we? i can agree. yay do a barrel roll :DDD
Listing: Astaroth pq
What's the big deal? Nexon doesn't maintain the rankings anyway, so I don't see why anyone would care much.
who cares, lv 200 people don't have lives so they are doomed to fail:S
seringeti: lol i didnt realize that.. :o agreed zeppos: i kinda agree this isn't very nice:P but to be honost....ranking is useless these days since u can leech urself to 130-140 easely in a week and then get to 200 in a couple of months ...ranking ....dead =) Yeah, but either way. Not everyone leeches though. Curryishott grinded. Why would he need to leech anyway, he probably sold leeches, haha. Many players on rankings did not have the leech option everyone has today. Good for Salleem, he's got a new look since i last saw him
Here's why:
Salleem is a native to Khaini, and he was the first level 200 in Khaini. He reached 200 (in time) before WANDWAKKER. So it show's up in their database as: xxxxxxx reached level xxx at xx:xx on xx:xx:xxxx. It's not nexon, it's the computers. So good luck arguing against how the game is designed. Edit: Here's an example. If Fangblade (first player to 200) were to move to Scania, he would be number one Scanian ranking. so if i'm lvl80 immigrant i have to be the lowest lvl80 in the rank?
