Sup ppl. I thought I would post this so that there would be a lot less questions in the future. However, the purpose of the thread is not really to show people the way; but, instead for posters to point out errors and comment on it. After comments and errors are taken into consideration, I will recommend the build to Chibi to be inputted in the Archer Skill Build Guide when he decides to update it.

Sorry Marksmen, I didn't make a build for you guys because Ascension changed Marksmen style quite a bit, or should I say improved. I rather let someone in that job category make the required build(s) than do it myself.

Level 120 - 1 Hurricane, 1 Advanced Final Attack, 1 Bow Expertise
Level 121 - 1 Marksmanship, 1 Ultimate Inferno, 1 Spirit Link

Notes:
1) A person can choose to get Illusion early for the defense, small boost in damage and coordination with dodge. A player who wants IS early should put a total of 5 points into it. The time of IS will be synchronize with level 9 SE and remains so until close to level 160.

2) Before maxing Illusion Step and Elite Puppet, a player can choose max Maple Warrior. However, the more you train with other people the less beneficial this option would be since many other jobs will have MW already.

3) Based on the current builds, a Bowmaster is unable to max all of the skills given to them. However, it is possible to max all with the +1-2 Skill and/or Decent Combat Orders. These can be obtained through potentials or the Leafre Codex. Using this method, at level 19X a BM could optimally have up to 24 extra SP points to spend on their remaining skills.

Notes:

1) This is the Arrow Blow first build. If you want to go Double Shot first, just switch Arrow Blow points with Double Shots'.
2) The reason I belive Archer Mastery should be taken first is because you should be able to breeze through those early levels. As the leveling curve increases, having more range and moving speed first will be more beneficial than having more power first.

Notes:
1) This is the Arrow Rain first build, see Chibi's guide for reasons for this build. If you want to go Strafe early see Chibi's guide when its updated but DO NOT put more than 11 points in Strafe.
2) 1 Point in Phoenix early is mainly because in this build, you will be standing in one spot and the extra flexible mob damage helps.
3) If you want to go Infenro fist, switch Inferno's SP points with Arrow Rains' at the appropuate level.

K guys, Seeing as how I am lvl 200, I felt I had the responsibility to leave some info on my build for 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th job... I will just list what I ended up maxing.

1st Job; Everything but Double Shot was maxed (DS left at 11). DS and Arrow B. can go hand and hand on preference.

2nd Job; Everything but Silver Hawk was maxed (SH left at 11). SH and Arrow Bomb can go hand and hand on preference.

3rd Job; Everything but Strafe was maxed (Strafe left at 11). Strafe and AR can go hand and hand on preference but AR is meant for mobbin and strafe is pointless at 4th job anyways.

4th Job; MW was left at 29 (only difference between 29 and 30 is 30 secs of more time... Not worth it). Sharp Eyes, Hurricane, Illusion Step, Spirit Link: Phoenix, Advanced Final Attack, Marksmenship, Elite Puppet, Bow Expert and Hero's Will were maxed, Ultimate Infero was left at 4.

I maxed Hero's Will over leaving Ultimate Inferno at 8 because when I am at a boss run, it is a lot more versatile to get Hero's Will asap in case of seduce (other ailments I still think should only be taken care of with all cures).

If anyone has any questions, please lemme know. I was going to make a new thread of this, but Basil set a restriction for people now, because of the constant flaming over this event lol...

Posting here was more suitable, and bomber has inspired me throughout my lvling as a BM, so I think some credit belongs to him and his thread


What Mastery book should I get?

1) Once you reset your SP and apply your points, see what skills are at thier lowest Master Level.
2) Look at the skill build in this thread and see what level you are on.
3) Now the skill that you are close to putting points in AND has the lowest Master Level is the book you should get.
4) If you are 120 or below, I recommend getting AFA skill book.

Examples:

a) At level 144 if I do not have Hurricane at master level 20, I would pick Hurricane 100%, if I believe I won't pass the regular skill books anytime soon.
b) At level 157 if I do not have Spirit Link at master level 20, I would pick Spirit Link 100%, if I believe I won't pass the regular skill books anytime soon.

OT: Why not max SE first?

Well, as stated in many threads in the past, SE first only gives a small advantage in training parties when compared to maxing other skills. In addition, most other skills are stronger than SE. Which is why only 9 points in SE is necessary.

Dunno.

Based on what I "heard" Phoenix/Frostprey will turn into Spirit Link, this I think was confimed. The following is what I remember from memory and could be wrong: Dragons Breath into Sharp Eyes. Hamstring/Blind into Illusion. Concentrate into AFA.

A small point but I think for the first three points at level 120 it would be more benificial to add a point to Advanced final attack one to hurricane and one to spirit link. Level 2 Sharp eyes has such a small timer I feel your points are better spent on those
