I'm done flaming the community, let me start on Nexon. I don't know what this is, but apparently God has put some spell on you that makes you think Nexon is a bad company! THEY'RE DOING THE BEST THEY CAN! "Sorry, the server check has been extended for another hour." ANOTHER HOUR! THAT'S 60 MINUTES! Go watch TV, read a book, color, take a nap, do something, but don't whine until you can't cry no more on basilmarket or on the MapleStory forums! "L0L W1Z3T 1S B3TT3R" THAT, is an opinion and won't be fought for. Nexon deserves more hospitality and kindness than what you inconsiderate, useless players throw at them. Take over a sucessful game that Wizet makes, make it BETTER than what MapleStory is with Nexon running it, and THEN you can complain to me. Finally, I'm ending it at basilmarket. Mr.basil, mods, this is a wonderful site, but the community isn't. Can you recall ONE DAY that someone didn't cry because they lost a car, they want to start something that will never happen until it does in real life,or they just want to go crazy and say that their fish had guppies that are now dog-fish living in a computer. Mr.basil, you can do much better. Be MUCH MORE strict on the rules, be MUCH MORE offensive, give LONGER bannings, MORE mods, FIX the filter, STOP the stupidity, because I don't know how basilmarket's making it with this chaos. Sleepywood's much better (only for the community, though. The way the forums look is hideous.) If you read this, I applaud. You're 1 in 3% that will. If you don't, I'm not surprised. tahts just cause GMS is so diverse and ppl dont understand each other i suppose =/cuz GMS has the largest span of area that people can play on in the world...like kMS only provides for Korea of course and jMS only provides for japan, etc etc. GMS has to cover every other region that doesnt have a maple. so im just guessing, to restate my point, that people just understand each other and racism and other stuff... just saying stuff :P
To OP:You are win. He's right. I mean, the part where he mentioned KMS and the higher ups giving the newcomers a starting fund and a decent item is just pure generosity. We're giving our country, (Americans, I'm talking to you, because we all know the vast majority of GMS is American) and our game a horrible name. If we could examplify the kindness that the KMS community does, we'd probably live better ourselves. The problem (And this is solely opinion here) is the fact that most Americans are spoiled/rude/cocky and have been subjected to environments that portray these characteristics all of the time. (School, the media, etc.) You cannot deny that you haven't encountered some arrogant prick or some spoiled priss in real life. It's happened. And sadly, being the conformist nation that we are, we follow suit. To "fit in." I suppose. And then, we bring it to MapleStory. Most of us probably aren't even like that in real life. "lulz I ks u nub leave" is a mask most of the time. You can talk hard because you're hiding behind a monitor. Chances are the level 4x noob you're KSing can kick your ass. And sure, maybe some people are naturally mean people. And that's fine. But to go around imposing your hate on people, especially on MapleStory, means your a child. Your level 150+ Night Lord and cocky attitude mean nothing in the real world. Get over yourself, because you're nothing where it matters. /end rant? Also, I'm mentioning again how much win the OP is. Because it needs to be reinforced. Over and over again.

Is this what North America is about? I THINK SO! Seriously dude, the U.S. is a corrupt place. You might be around nice people, but that's really what this place is. Lying, rotten people that will do whatever it takes to make themselves look better than the next guy. There's more. You can't do anything about it. Just be who you know you should be. The only person you can change is yourself.
Yeah, I agree totally with you.People who say "NEXON SUCKS!11" Probably didn't know Nexon was also part of Maple while Wizet was running. Wizet just stepped back and let Nexon take over, maybe because they didnt want all this crap and all this hating. I try to be nice in maple, but 90% of the community isn't. In Maple you go up to someone higher then you and say "Wow nice damage." and they F6 you and say "Thanks nub.". Go on another game, ill use Runescape as an example. "Hey, nice damage, str level?" "Thank you.  Its level __".No insult, just a nice person. Yes, basilmarket's community is crap. We cant really change that. Every 5 seconds, someone makes a thread "Lulz sins are teh bst." or "How much RAM or memory does my pc need to kill Zakum?". There are too many Pointless, and stupid threads in this forum. From all the forums I've been in, basilmarket by far LOOKS the best, but as you said, there are MUCH better communities. So those are my thoughts, on your thoughts. Basil may not make up a very large part of MS, but considering you can easily run into 600 people in 5 minutes in the fm, It could be those 10 or so people from Basil setting a good example that can possibly turn GMS around to a certain degree. Perhaps everyone like-minded should get together and start a guild or two to work on this... If we got 100 members on each server, we could easily start to do some of the right things, and make a positive change. I agree that it won't make a huge difference, but it could really influence people. If the guild went around promoting these values, then we could easily become a very well known guild, like astralis, and sincity. It would be a long term project, but I think it would be beneficial to the people who stuck with it and the entire community as a whole. Until that day... Stop the Hate, Noobs (sometimes) deserve better, and remember that you too were once in their position and you too could have used a bit of help. Its really easy to stop for one minute, drop like... 1k, and move on, or to party them and haste them. Its the little things like that that can make someone's day, and the way things are going now, we need more people like that ; ). Thank You, that is all.

Exactly the same mindset i had a loong time ago..back when nexon was new, hackers were galore and everyone hated nexon. I actually had a thread very similar to this, it reached almost 200 pages and plenty of arguments. Really, right now MS is all good. Much better than before, I'm content.
finally someone with reason around here, dont mind most kids who comment about this thread being "stupid or dumb", i wish this game was 15+ not 13 or 10, unless your mature you dont disearve maple story
