Please note that I am not encouraging or condoning mass slayings of hackers, only the killing of them when they make training difficult or impossible. What you do with the knowledge I impart to you is your own decision, but note that making a bad decision can have unfortunate consequences. Power guard hackers are a menace in Maple - they hog channels in popular or lucrative training maps, such as wolf spiders, birks, etc., and are able to kill anything at any level with noteworthy speed.Newly made PG hackers can apparently level to 120 in a matter of 3 to 5 days, and are not only drastically deflating the economy in Maple, but undermining the efforts of high level players, both insulting the time and effort put into their characters and making training difficult. However, there is a solution, albeit a temporary one - Kill the PG hacker It can be done. PG hackers rely, well, on power guard. They can be of any job or level, but this simple fact unites them. I have seen hermits, dragon knights, crusaders, and even a beginner using it. Now, back to the question of how to kill them - well, as we all know, power guard works by taking direct damage from touching a monster. Hackers are able to somehow touch any monster on a map rapidly and basically hit as fast or faster as a Nightlord using triple throw. I don't know the logistics of it, but they are somehow unable to be harmed from this damage. However, they apparently cannot use GodMode, or it has some fatal flaw, to where a magic attack or a ranged attack can get through to them, if originally aimed at another player, in the same way that a monster can hit a thief using dark sight if aggro'd by a nearby player. These attacks will not be shown hitting the hacker, but, especially with area of effect attacks like dual birk's spear rain, WILL hit them, and, if they are hit enough, KILL them. This method has worked on every PG hacker i have encountered as of this writing. I have not tested whether wolf spiders can kill a PG hacker, but it may be possible that their touch damage can hit the hacker - if anyone will test this for me, please post the results here. I don't feel like going to NLC. Lol. Comments, suggestions on helping Nexon eliminate this problem, suggestions on how to improve this method, or corrections of errors? -I think I may have come up with a more permanent solution - Remember the snails that used to be in almost every popular map? It would be extremely simple on Nexon's part to include a snail spawn in every map, or at least the popular ones, to counter the use of PG hacks. As has been stated in-thread by many people, hackers or otherwise, PG hackers set their damage values to always inflict a certain damage on the monsters, 10% of the monster's max HP I believe. Also stated was that anyone doing over 10% of a monster's max HP with PG will die. So, if they hackers set their damage based on a strong, high HP monster, and hit a snail with PG, they die. Every time. I'm going to submit this entire thread to Nexon. Anyone that wishes should also do so, and maybe we can put an end to this nonsense. -The Proof- InYourMemory, a Hermit using PG hack link InYourMemory, a dead Hermit link btworrior16, a PG hacker link btworrior16, a dead PG hacker link sDANTEs PG hacking link A short step-by-step guide Step 1. Locate PG Hacker. Step2. Attack a nearby monster that has a magic or ranged attack (or use a summon sack if monster is unavailable). Step3. Attempt to have the monster attack you with its magic/ranged attack (may or may not have to be standing near the hacker, depending on what hacks are being used. For best results stand near hacker whenever possible, but NEVER on top of the hacker, so that GMs do not confuse the two of you. Step4. Smile and lol @ the hacker. Possible Dangers Involved 1. Po'd hacker may follow you, ks you, spam you, attempt to hack your account, or lag your character to the point of all abilities and items not working. 2. Being confused for the hacker by a GM or fellow player and getting reported/banned, or ban due to the small amount of exp claimed when a hacker kills a mnoster that you aggro'd being confused as ks'ing the hacker. Maps where this method can be applied (if it cannot, you can try to use a teddy summon sack or a trojan summon sack to dc or kill the hacker) -Birk Maps -Kentaurus -Skeles (?) -Most of Leafre in General -Deep Ludibrium (Ludibrium Dungeon) Maps -Himes (Dreamy Ghosts) -Gobies/BoneFish Maps where this method cannot be applied -Wolf Spiders -Gryphons -In General, any map where there are no monsters possessing an Area of Effect or Magic attack Replies

Attack nearby monster (must have ranged/magic attack). Lure near the hacker. Let it attack a few times. Edit- This generally works best with the hackers who are away from keyboards.
