At level 45, I insisted on training on platoon chronos (I did find 2 esthers) and that was still at least 18%/hr, and I did measure 22%+ a few times while partying with my sin friend. And, sigh. I haven't been keeping track of updates.

I was getting 35-40% at level 45 training on STDs, and a bit less at CPQ. Platoons are a waste of effort anyway. Nightmares give more exp, have less life, and also drop esthers :p
It's Heshi's Philosophy again :ONot only were Nightmares not out yet at the time, Platoons drop 60% glove scrolls (which I never got, but ehh...), are in Ludi (which was the best pot shop at the time, and near what was then the only PQ besides Kerning), theoretically more mobbable (if you had a mind to get yourself blasted by long range unavoidable purple magic all day, anyway), and easier to shoot without whacking. I wouldn't go as far as to say Platoons > Nightmares, but they definitely aren't 100% obsolete.
im not so sure about your 1hit vs 2hit section.i always use efficiency... say i 1 shot horny mushrooms but 2 shot boars horny mushrooms is obviously the better choice. 42 exp from boars (2shots) 70 exp from 2 mushrooms (2shots)
Theres a faster alternate way to V/HTo get to Vanity Room/Sophilia Room quicker, Once you enter Foyer head up the stairs to the 2nd level and go towards the door to the left, you'll appear in another room with a staircase in the center, head up the stairs and enter the door directly above, you'll then appear in the room where both V/H rooms are located. This way is alot faster, and a common route I was when I lost maps due to the MB glitch. Yes repost but this way IS faster.

If not, I'd just walk for five seconds and kill more. Like at the top of HHG1 there is a nice spawn of Green Mushrooms, but also there is a lot of KS'ers there. EDIT: you should probably make a note that the haf maps suck so badly for rangers it's not even funny. i swear i pulled off a whopping 2% an hour at level 90 there, trying to do one of the quests when leafy came out. the fact you need all cures completely wrecks those maps. if anything, its a sniper only map... if ANY of the 10 classes at all decide to train there... 2nd EDIT: i don't think the wyvern maps are all that great... outside of aqua, archers don't typically perform that well on vertical maps. and there are barely any AR/E sniping locations, too... at 4th job they might have potential, but in 3rd they definitely don't for rangers. 3rd EDIT: should add in a section on skeles, and another section on cornians... i believe those are normal 4th job stomping grounds. Though most of basil is not 4th job, so i don't know if there'd be much of a point. New Blog: Future Expansions
