Yes and No. Yes, it was originally intended as a joke and for the most part was a joke. So "April fools!" No, in that I'm a person of my word and decided to stay away from the site for the entirety of the 2nd of April as promised. From that point of view, you can say I did quit, albeit for just over a day. (I never realized how sticky this site truly is). Everything I said, excluding the actual "quitting" part, was meant. Spamming, trolling, and general rule-breaking never seems to be getting any less, however, with the help of the new moderators, we are able to deal with many issues a lot more quickly. That said, it is expected of every member of the site to post responsibility and report those who do not for the good of the site. It's not hard to report a few people a day, a little effort by many people could drastically improve things. Through this all I have also noticed some users that may need a bit more watching. One or two that claim to have been unfairly suspended by me which I intend to prove untrue. To some others, sorry I couldn't let you have the satisfaction of me really leaving permanently. You know who you are. This was a once-off thing, I will not post that I am leaving again unless it is actually so. If you are disappointed in me, my apologies for that. I have a comp problem for you :D (If you can so kindly help me) WB
Ok, I was cruisin' the interwebs, mindin' my own business (this was last sunday) and I decide to go do something else and close out Internet Explorer. When I do so, I get a weird message saying "Error 000000f80x00000880EF0. Memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program." Termination sounded like a good prospect so I did. This happened a second time under the same cirumstances a few hours later when I logged in to check my e-mail. I thought that was kind of odd, but nothing to worry about so long as I terminated the program before it did any harm. Then I played RF for a while, closed it out, and got another error message saying something like "Windows virtual memory is low, attempting to create more. This may take several minutes, click OK to continue." I have no qulams with getting more memory for my comp, so I clicked yes. A day later, I'm messin' around with my WoW character, when suddenly in the middle of gameplay my screen freezes, then goes black for a few seconds before resuming with no ill effects. I shrug it off as a lag storm, as that day had been particularly laggy for me. Eventually I log out and my screen resolution had changed subtle way. It was then I began to worry, so I opened my anti-spyware program and activated my Shield Deluxe virus scanner, both of which crashed, and I ended up having to manually shut down my computer and restart. Upon restating, it took 5 times as long to load everything, and now my computer has started making "ticking" noises any time I open a file or start an application or run a program. In conjunction with the ticking, it now takes 5 minutes to open any folder, sometimes longer, and to actually START a program can take anywhere between a half hour to 50 minutes. Somone already mentioned to me that I should defrag my hard drive which I did and it improved my computers ability to close things (they no longer crash when I close them) but its still making htat ticking noise and things are still slow to load. I also ran a diagnostic scan of my hard drive as this is what seems to be the problem, and some error code popped up when I tried to run the S.M.A.R.T. short self-test it failed that one and told me to write down some error code and call Dell about it, but we all know what the technical supports like...*cough*outsourcedtoIndia*cough* So, to summarize: Got a bunch of weird errors when running internet-based applications Computer makes weird ticking noise everything runs so slowly I can't do anything (took me an hour AT LEAST to get this post up)
I knew you weren't leaving.
Don't leave, basil needs you.

So, you aren't getting more "memory" per se... Have you tried taking out internet for a little and try working the computer in safemode? Ambiguous said: "I know who I am. D:" Oh right.
