It should show the directory of the file it is detecting so you know what to add to the exceptions list. __________________________________________________ kurtz223 said: "i just wanna say thx mindstormer nd to the other ppl who help make this thread possible. but i am curious, is my computer really infected with a virus?" Yes and no. Yes in that gameguard does act like a virus or rootkit since it is blocking hacking software (and sometimes other non-hacking software), no in that it isn't really a virus. __________________________________________________ spikekirby said: "if i were to uninstall avast, start maple, sign on, would the trojan like idk... do whatever it does? o.o" See my above reply. __________________________________________________ 0wnyou2day: Thanks. As Mindstormer has said, GameGaurd acts like a Trojan in the respect that it monitors your computer, but it is NOT a trojan. Much appreciation to all the users who have been helping with this problem up until now. Actually u dont have to re isntall it. I also had used the restore thingy but it didnt work. Just the shortcuts were gone, so what i did was use the installer also known as the MsSetup. During the process it gives u 3 options. Custom(i think) Repair and something else. You click repair, and waala, u can play maple story again :D thanks to Deafend for non intentionally reminding me xD Register / login
