Feel free to PM me if this thread does not solve your issue. I've made the mistake of not being clear about one thing. Administrator rights, you need them. Administrator rights, you need them. Administrator rights, you need them. Administrator rights, you need them. Administrator rights, you need them. Administrator rights, you need them. Administrator rights, you need them. This better do it, for the most part. I might of mentioned this somewhere else in my guide, but I don't care. People tend to fail at reading when the important stuff is in between too many lines. VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE GETTING GR2D ERROR AS SOON AS YOU PATCHED You NEED Administrator rights. I proved it on WindowsXP SP3 Professional. You CAN NOT play MapleStory AT ALL on a LIMITED account. I'm serious. *UPDATE: No longer sure of this with the new patch. *This issue transcends Service Packs for XP and is also the same case for Vista. AS OF PATCH V.57 We cannot control how maple starts through the registry. It will ALWAYS start out fullscreen. LOL THAT AD IS ANNOYING LOLOLOL@%#$& You can't disable the ad through the registry. Stop asking. You can disable it, though. Note: Only content will not play. Window form will remain. Random crashes? This isn't exactly your problem? Patch screwing with you anyway? 1. Uninstall MapleStory. 2. Start>Run>regedit. 3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Wizet>Maplestory. 4. Delete that folder. 5. Reinstall MapleStory. This is just in case there were some issues with the keys in the registry. Even when you uninstall maple, the registers stay behind in case you reinstall to keep your settings intact. Doing this will allow a fresh install, letting fresh keys to be put in place. Disablingthe AD. People are also reporting problems directly caused by that new, annoying ad. You can disable it. Note: This will only stop the content from playing. The window form will remain. You can't remove that, though some people claim to have killed it with the Task Manager. I didn't see the 'ad' under active applications and Maple's processes are hidden by GameGuard, so iuno. I liek your face. WHERE I GETZ #@^&%#&!five Mu Lung. Male Face JP[1]. End. Enjoy. Please make sure you follow my directions exactly as stated and do not stray off trying to be cool. I don't garantee your maple will run if you mess with any of the other keys. LolUpdate. V.57 update no longer let's us control maplestory's behaviour through the registry. Go press ALT+ENTER. Replies

I was having another problem where when I ran Maple a notice would come up saying "Host proccess for Windows has to shut down" or something, and that's stopped. I hope I can keep running Maple in windowed mode because I've been watching Gurren Lagann while I play." Sounds good. I've added a link to the thread to see if that'll help more people. Recently, I've been hit with a large malware infection. I have done scans of my PC's disks and memory with the following anti-viruses/spyware programs: !Avast Home Edition (Boot Scan), McAFee, Webroot SpySweeper, Spyware Terminator, and SpyBot Search & Destroy ( The programs used were found on CNET to ensure they are legitimate programs). When all else failed, I turned to Trend Mirco's HijackThis. If there is anyone that is able to decipher the logfile, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Download the logfile below at mediafire. link :o New Pic: Charlie Brown
Oh, the days when Maple wasnt so glitchy.... omgnoname said: "I found DxWnd + regedit got rid of the ad. -shrugs-" Which key disables the ad. I know there is one key that MOVES the ad, but it doesn't disable it. So, which key is it? Also, many people frown on DXWnd. Personally, I don't care. Do whatever you want. Someone saying something about HJThis. This site got the job done for me. First one when I googled it. Someone saying something about this making you go INTO windowed mode. /facepalm. Read the thread. It's for people who's maples are screwing up after setting windowed mode. [So, if you don't get it, taking you OUT of windowed mode and into FS.] IF you want to go into windowed mode using this method for whatever reason.... Do it the manual way. When you get to soFullScreen, change it to 0. 1. Start>Run type in 'regedit'. 2. At regedit, local HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Expand [Press the +] it. 3. Find the Software entery and expand it. 4. Go down to the Wizet folder, expand it. 5. Now, just CLICK the MapleStory entry. DONT EXPAND. 6. Check the right portion of the window. Find the key 'soFullScreen'. 7. Double click it and change it to '1'. Don't change the base data type [Hexadecimal and Decimal.] If it already reads '1', then you should already be in fullscreen mode and shouldn't be reading this thread. Hit OK. Exit out. Your maple should now be full screen again. But when I go into soFullScreen, the number is on 1 already, but when I click Maple the ad comes up and the outline of windowed mode, then everything closes and I get the Gr2D thingy. So...it's not in full screen mode, it's in windowed mode. Help Me D: CAN I DO ANYTHING WHEN I'M NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR? >_____< Wiggy said: ">( Im...really confused. I did this part 1. You are in fullscreen mode, but before Maple opens it renders itself in a window that is 800x600. It'll then change the resolution to [800x600]. Thats why you see the little screen outline. jk. lmao my bro had that face for a while, and whenever we hung out.... someone always had to ask...lol Register / login
