We need someone to maintain Basilmarket's Zakum schedule. You will be maintaining schedules for channel 5 on all worlds that are in need of schedules (the more recent ones probably aren't). Please post here if you're interested. Please do not spam us with PM's (really, don't send us any about this).

Applicant Requirements:

Mature
Responsible
Un-biased

Schedule Requirements:

2 hour time slot limit
No helm, skillbook, or other untradeable item selling.
Slots are allocated in a first come first serve manner.
Window for requests be at least 2 weeks.
All slot requests are public.
Slot requests are submitted with the character names of all participants
Players can only be registered to one time slot at a time.
All participants must be on the rankings.
There are to be no permanent, automatic, or rolling time slots, or any method of automatically assigning a time slot to the same people.

Please keep in mind that if you are selected, and abuse your power, your schedule will be voided.

*Will help any way possible*
example: Spreading by word of mouth, defending the organized runners in bera, delegating, organizing and encouraging higher levels to sign up for slots, etc.

I can try to do this. However if there is no zhelm selling no groups will even want a slot.

As I stated, if you discuss anything but applying for this responsibility I will delete your post.

BasilMarket does not support the transactions of untradable zakum items, simple as that. If you want to make these deals then don't do it here. As for the schedule that's being planned, it will most likely be on channel 6 of all worlds. Any and all groups are allowed to register in the Basil forums, so long as they commit to Boku's guidelines. Tuuurboh is a respectable member of these forums, it doesn't matter about her ranking status.

Saying that, I would like to volunteer for some of this responsibility. I'm experienced and capable for this task for the following reasons;
• I've run with several groups for over a year, have extensive zakum organizing and running experience.
• I know everything that has to be done about creating and fairly distributing time slots.
• I'm retired from MapleStory, and heavily active on the forum being a moderator and all. This means absolutely no bias towards groups. It also means I can maintain a schedule for an extended period of time.
• I'm heavily against hacking, scamming and abusing zakum altar privileges. If needed I will track and follow up on groups.
• And finally, I have plenty of management and leadership experience, and this would be an enjoyable project for me.

I suggest that there should be only 1 person for 1 server instead of 1 person be accompanied to schedule everything. If just one person had to do everything then they'd be all stressed out & won't have that much time to do other things. Just a thought.

Edit : What I mean is the person/people applicable for the job should only be registered develop the server theyplay on schedule. Because if you play in server XX & you don't know anything about server XY, then how can you schedule server XY's Zakum Run? Unless someone from server XY posts the schedule in a thread. So I find it if this way is easier, & that it'd go more swiftly.

I would say a mod is the best fit to run the schedule. That way they can manage the schedule of the thread itself. But can I ask where in any of the rules, zhelm selling, which is completely legal by nexon's standards, are illegal on basil? It just sounds like alot of mod opinion being forced on to us. Helms are apart of the Zak experiance. Basil's job would be to moderate and host the schedule. Not to dicate what the groups can and can't do with their drops during their kill. Jw....

I'm not applying for a position, but offering a couple of suggestions instead. I believe having a different maintainer for each world. And if selected, it's probably best that they don't maintain the schedule for their world. This would help in avoiding being biasness towards friends and etc.

Yes, but that would mean not knowing what goes on in that world, as another person stated above. The 1 person per world is good, but in NOT their world wouldn't

If I'm understanding this right, the position just entails the person to organize a schedule and enforce groups to follow it. Also the position must enforce the no-selling-of-non-tradeables. The actual group assembling is up to each group.

I'm interested in the position, I can manage spreadsheets/time tables and other things. I log on to Maple and Basil regularly (usually just reading posts).

I think you should include some more criteria, like experience with Zakum, level, etc. Anybody can make one comment that is mature and unbiased and be portrayed as just that.

Anyways I am interested in this position, I don't know how I am supposed to showcase my responsibility though, I guess you gotta trust me xD

EDIT: I also agree with the second comment on this page by Zman, even if it's not me which it most likely won't be, please pick someone who has experience in this field, don't pick a random person whom you "THINK" is responsible enough, pick someone who has a resume just as good as their talk. And who has experience and yes connections. Doing so will reduce the likelihood of a bad, irresponsible and clueless schedule maintainer.

i dont mean to be rude, but most worlds have already figured out what they want to do with the other channels already, and this would clash with sleepywood which would result in a not so pretty dispute. personally, i never took basilmarket seriously and i dont believe this is the right place to be organizing zakum runs.

I agree 100%.

I think that basilmarket's intentions are good, but the practical aspect of what they are doing is just not there.
