Expected Range 200 Hey guys, I just came back to MS after another couple year break (been doing this since 05, lol), and I spent the few bil I had on the character on general gear. I'm now sitting close to 500k clean at level 198. I'm curious as to what a Shadower is expecting to see as a min:max range around 200-210. I'm not asking what the min range is for X, but a realistic idea of what I should be expecting to see, so I know when I've scrolled decently enough. I've got pretty much all the gear you'd expect, minus gloves: Full CRA (hat, top, bottom, faf), Tyrant cape and shoes, Superior (gollux belt, earrings, ring), Reinforced gollux (ring, pendant), Solid and cracked gollux rings, dimension gloves, and slashing shadow (working on a kha
End Game Gear So I have been riding my for a long time now while I get money to buy end game gear. I have looked for a good thread about the preferred set is but have not been able to find one. I don't really have money invested into either set, I have an RA top that cost me 9m and is clean and that's it. My guild and alliance consistently runs commerci and root abyss that I can easily get in on which could save me money as well. For a Shadower that doesn't boss all the time (but do occasionally) what do you guys recommend I spend my time getting?
Monster Park at level 185 So I am trying to get charm and I notice that Monster Park items offer a decent amount of charm. However, I can't do any of the quests beside the level 200 one. Why is that? When I attempt to enter any 160+ park, it says my level needs to be 115-159, which doesnt make sense as the park says its 160+. I cant seem to find any information on this, so sorry if this is posted somewhere else.
Buffs and Marcos So I use a unique keyboard layout since I often play on a laptop that doesn't offer delete, etc. So I have all 3 macros set up with my buffs. I really hate this method, but here is what it looks like: Macro 1 = Chakra, Shadow Partner, Shadower Instinct Macro 2 = Haste, Booster, Maple Warrior Macro 3 = Meso Guard, Flip of the Coin So I am curious what macros other Shadowers use, and if they can offer any improvement to my current setup. I have all attacking skills on keys, but I am willing to entertain any system more efficient.
Event Grinding So I have been trying for find good places to grind while still collecting boxes and spell traces, but as I level I don't know where to go. I am level 154 with a 40k-47k range without buffs and 8k hp. Obviously there are better places to level, but while hunting down event items I'd like to get the best exp possible and not waste my time. Every guide I see doesn't really show any other places to train other than Evo or DIPQ, both of which don't give me the drops I want. Any suggestions?
Guild for Programmers Hey everyone. I was curious if there are any, or if there is any interest in, a guild dedicated to programmers. Guilds are often used as networking for things like bosses, but I find myself often just doing things completely independent of my guild. I do however talk to my guild fairly often. While its nice to talk about a broad range of topics, I am a programmer by passion and profession, so I was thinking it might be nice to have a channel while playing for these types of discussions. So, is there a guild (on any server, pref Windia though) that is already like this, or is anyone interested in making a guild for people with interests in programming (I would include sysadmin/network admin since that is a pivotal role
How much to fund a Shadower? Hey everyone, I am getting back into this game after years of not playing. I will be funding myself, but have never found it difficult to make money in the past, so I don't expect that will change now. Regardless, I am curious how much I need to make to have an above average Shadower?
Old Shadower trying to learn new tricks Hello everyone. I am planning a return to Maplestory after years of not being active. I have made a few one time logins over the years, like to get a 4th job when they came out, partake in some new areas, etc, but I honestly haven't played much since around the time 4th job came out. New Sniper confusion. So I recently started a Bowman and I am completely in love. I finally made it to Sniper yesterday and as I was researching builds I find that AE is recommended over Blizzard. My Question is why? with 1 point in both skills Blizzard does more damage, hits more monsters, can do damage from a greater distance, and freezes. I know that with the new patch Blizzard got a damage boost so is the lack of updated skills the reason builds favor AE?
Copying MS to new computer. Help Please. So I got a new computer today, and to avoid the long download time for MS i figured i would simply move the program files from my old computer to my new one, however when i attempt to start the game it wont launch. It says there are compatibility issues, this happens when i attempt to use GameLauncher and when I attempt to launch from the site. Does anyone know of the correct way to transfer MS files from one computer to another? Both computers are W7 64 bit. Any clues? Thank you.
