Orchids bunny doll appearance question Hi, I tried to ask in game, and searched, but couldn't find the answer to my question. So, I equipped the Orchid's bunny doll and the appearance isn't what I expected. I seem to be holding it near my chest with both hands. However, I used a character simulation and seen other people with this item (not the lotus bunny doll) and it seems to be holding their character's left hand, walking on the ground. I'd rather the appearance be the second, as the simulator and other images show. Can someone help me with this? Is there a second way to equip it? Or do I need to alter it in some way? Forest of Tenacity Sleepywood Jump Quest I did RA, left, and it put me in Sleepywood. No one was around, kinda sad. But then I suddenly remembered the jump quest. I don't think I've done that quest in a long long time. So, I tired it. I was 3 jumps away from finishing... when I fell :( I can't remember the last time I had this much fun :) Looking for nostalgia or wishing for MS from the past, do this quest. John man... Hacking, basil, and passwords Hi, as I'm sure all of you have noticed the amount of people who are getting hacked is increasing. Furthermore it seems that many of those who get hacked comment that they don't visit questionable sites, give out their passwords, or do anything obvious that would allow their accounts to be hacked. I never been hacked, which I'm happy about, and I wonder if it's because the password I use for maplestory is different from all my other passwords, including the one I use for basil. Removing bots in Fm / Ticket Sent / Response from Nexon So, I came up with a pretty good idea, at least from the perspective of the basil community, to only allow access to FM to those above level 20. The basil community convinced me, for various reasons to increase this level requirement. The idea is to limit the bots in FM or at least make it more difficult for those creating the bots from putting them there. So I sent the following ticket to Nexon: "Hi, as you know there are numerous bots in FM. In general they add to lag and get in the way of people trying to sell things. Restricting bots in free market As all of you know, there are numerous bots in FM often posting some message saying to go to a various webpage to get good deals etc. Nexon, I guess, does it's best to remove these bots. However, it's fairly easy to create another character and start botting some messages again. To some of you these bots may not be a big deal, but when I'm using my older computer they slow down FM and even Ardentmill. Besides the lag they generate they also get in the way other others trying to legitimately sell things. Since Nexon is unable to quickly remove these I came up with an idea that maybe some of you might disagree with... I was thinking about restricting the entrance to free market to those characters above level 2

New Pq idea Soccer I was wondering if you guys be interested in this: A soccer party quest. Lets make is similar to monster carnival in that you receive an invite every 30 or so minutes and the game breaks you up into teams, say 6 vs. 6. Unlike regular MS the surface of play is that of your screen {you can move up down left right, but no jump}. The game proceeds for 8 min, and it is up to the team to work together to determine positions. Unlike regular soccer, in this version, you can attack the other players. Players don't die when they the run out of hit points they just go on a time out for 15 seconds, while the rest of the game continues. This of course, makes it unreasonable for a low level person to play with a high lvl person, so as
People asking about price checks I noticed just now that 5 out of the 10 new threads were price checks. I was originally going to ask Mr. Basil if he could make a category just for p/c. However as i look in the list of categories I do see this. So, Mr. Basil, can we make an area just for price-checks, just as we do for the general posts and each class? I'd just rather not see half of the threads in the primary window being price-checks. However, maybe there are many of you that do like answering numerous pc's.
Suggested charm skill After lvl 30 getting addition charm doesn't do much for you. I was thinking about adding a skill at about lvl 70. Here's the skill: Once a character has reached lvl 70 charm he can pick up a character and carry her on his shoulders. Neither character can attack but the character on top can use her skills. For this union hp/mp and WD/MD are additive. What do we think?
Noobed my Lionheart battle mail So, eventhough I've been playing for over 4 years, granted somewhat inconsistently, there are still things I don't know about maplestory. For example, I had a Noob moment just a little while ago. I got 5 15% armor att scrolls from the evil spirt boxes and I used them on my lionheart battle mail. One out of the five worked, about what I expected. What I didn't know was that it would use up 5 of the slots :( I thought the slots were only used if the scroll was successful. Can someone comment on this? Incidentally I used a 100% pot scroll and got +165 MD, +73MD... which isn't terrible... :/
2012 Artifact Hunt day 6 prize bug fixed Hi, for the few of you still doing this event the problem with the day 6 prize is fixed. For those of you that don't know, once you get 1000 points 6 times you get the choose either the glasses or that hat. The glasses: "Archaeologists glasses" Permanent untradeable, +2 All, WD/MD 20, +100 charm exp first time equipped. However, in comparison to the Summer goggles: +1 All, +1 WA/MA, WD/MD 50. The Summer goggles are actually slightly better :( And every easy to get. I got my goggles after opening 14 ice chests. However, Archaeologists glasses look much nicer on you :) (I chose the glasses and received them with out a bug. I forgot to write the stats down for the hat). -mike
Nexon should delete old characters Maplestory has been around for over 7 years now, at least the global version, and during this time millions of characters have been created. The negative of this is that current players lose the ability to name their characters nice names. :( I was doing a search to try to find a good character name and noticed many many of the more interesting names I came up with were, of course taken, but also on the older servers and had rather low levels. I was thinking Nexon should delete all the characters that haven't been played for 3 years, unless they reached level 100. This would free up names for us to use and free up some server room for Nexon. :) What do we think about this? :/
Day 3 Artifact Hunt Reward So, we know after the 1st 1000 points you get a kinda crappy medal, but it looks nice in your collection. After the 2nd 1000 points you get some nice glasses and a nice hat, however they expire in a week :/ After the 3rd 1000 points you get a mystery artifact box! :) However once I opened it I got 1, and only 1, "Excavated Blessing Potion." Which gives +10 to all stats and speed and jump for 1 hour... yay... Did anyone else get anything better? I'm pretty pissed off >.< -mike
2012 Artifact Hunt, info, statistics Hi, if you're doing the Artifact hunt, here is some info. It seems the drop rate is about 1 orb for every 20 monsters killed. Each orb can be either +5, +10 or +20 points. 65% of the time it is +5 points, 25% of the time +10 points, and 10% for +20 points. When you get to 1000 points you get the 2012 mystery artifact medal, with stats: +1 all, +10 speed, +10 jump, +50 charm exp. So, it's not so great. At approximately 100 points you'll receive your first mystery artifact. Turn it in and you'll get 8 renegades coins, and 550,000 exp (if on level 107). The exp is probably level dependent. The second mystery artifact is about at 250 points and the 3rd is about 600 points. Make sure you have a slot open for
New Medal suggestion Quest Expert Medal Once you complete 800 quests you get the quest specialist medal. The stats are decent: STR +3, DEX +3, INT +3, LUK +3, Avoidability +10, Jump +10. I recently got this medal and noticed that I had many more quests to do. I starting doing some of the low level quests and noticed that I was getting very little exp. So, it's pretty pointless to do these at this point. However, if they introduce a new medal say, the Quest Expert medal, then more people would try to do all the quest. So I was thinking the following: Quest Expert medal: Rewarded at 1250 quests completed STR +5, DEX +5, INT +5, LUK +5, Avoidability +10, Jump +10, Speed +5, HP +100, MP +100 Quest Master medal: Rewarded at 1750 quests completed
