Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru So, the series ended about a month ago, but I figured I might as well make a thread about it considering I didn't really see many people on Basil discussing it that much. Honestly, I didn't really have any interest in this show; at first glance it looked like a Madoka Magica ripoff (quite frankly, I didn't actually like that show that much either), and then I found out it was written by the same person who wrote Akame ga Kill, so I pretty much decided to stay away even further. However, despite that, I've actually seen quite a lot of discussion on various other places regarding the show, so I decided to check it out on a whim to see what the hype was about, and was surprised to find myself actually enjoyi

Give me your definition of quotover-poweredquot and when the act of being "over-powered" becomes a problem, if you feel that it even is a problem in the first place; if you don't feel that it is a problem, say why. To me, it seems that although the scope remains generally the same, people seem to have their own interpretations and opinions regarding the term. Do you feel that it is a problem? Do you feel that there are some sort of misconceptions people have about the term? Are there some certain, specific guidelines that need to be met for it to be applied? I'm rather curious. I know that there is an on-going thread about this right now, but I felt like this was slightly different, and I didn't want to start a whole

Trigger new show Pv Source material - Well after KLK (not) saving anime and Little Witch Academia getting nothing, TRIGGER is making this. Personally I'd have to agree with everybody that KLK was only mediocre at best, but I think that it was a decent enough start for them, however this looks a little less balls-to-the-wall. If you compare this to their other two shows, the art went in a completely different (and less original, imo) direction. I'm following the studio because it's fairly new, but with this, it doesn't seem like they're trying to make anything special, and quite frankly this doesn't really even look as promising or as hype as KLK did before it started airing. Thoughts?

Guess the anime character - forum game EDIT: After the end of round 42, this thread will no longer be updated or monitored. It has been fun Hello friends. In an attempt to raise activity on /90/ I'm going to start a little forum game. Let's hope this doesn't end in failure. The point simple; the poster who is "it" must think up of an anime character, and everybody else has to guess who it is by asking yes or no questions about them. Think Akinator or 20 Questions, but there is no limit to how many questions can be asked. Once the character is guessed, the one who guessed correctly becomes "it," and will think up of their own character. Note that you don't necessarily have to ask questions about the c

Common tropes that you feel need to stop Hey guys, I figured there's a lot of threads about individual anime and stuff like that but I felt like starting a discussion about general things. This might be the first of many, but we'll see. So, I wanted to ask you guys; what are some of your personal pet peeves with shows? As in, what are some tropes or themes that you guys feel can potentially bring an anime down? Here's a small list of things that I don't typically like; I'll try to refer to some recent or well-known anime as examples of these. Expect light spoilers. 1. Unfulfilled romance. This is usually something you see in harems or love triangles. Somebody falls in love with somebody else, but by the end of the story what happens?

General Beasttamer

Help me figure out a beast tamer skill build So I want to go for the late game, assuming I get there. I want to go bossing, fighting the tough fights, and basically becoming as strong of a DPS as I can get, and I plan to be doing most of this solo. Anyways I just have a bunch of question: On the issue of Bear vs Leopard, I hear almost everywhere that Bear is better in the long run and will eventually outdamage Leopard when it comes to single targets; is this true? Some people say to max both Bear and Leopard but I wonder is that really optimal? Is it okay to choose just one of those? And if so, which one suits my goals better? I don't care about the early game since it's not that hard to get by it anyway. Now if I do choose only one of thos

How many even play this game anymore? Hi, returning player here; haven't played seriously in years. I remember long ago that no matter where you went, there used to be people all over the place in just about any server. But now, I find that I'm playing on my Demon Slayer on Broa and I'm lucky if I can find even a few people on Channel 1. I understand that the majority of players are probably in the Free Market or in Henesys, and in other servers like Scania, but it's kinda weird to see the game like this. I also remember people would always spam megaphones in chat, but not so much anymore (not that that's a bad thing, of course, given the kinds of things that used to be spammed). So is this game really dying, or am I just in the wrong serve

Help and old, returning player out - questing for fame Hello my friends, I have just recently returned to Maplestory after a three-year hiatus, and I require some advice. Quite a lot of things have changed while I was gone, and I'm not entirely up-to-date on it all. Long story short, I decided to make a new Xenon, who I just got to level 40, but when I tried to equip the lvl 40 items I had on me, I was told that I didn't have the necessary amount of fame to do so. I'd prefer not to go around buying or begging for fame from other people, so I'd like to know if there are any 40 or below quests that I can do to raise my fame to 20+. Or maybe just general things I can do to earn fame without having to deal with other people. Help would be appre

Help me choose a graphics card for under 80 So in an attempt to improve FPS and general performance when playing PC Games, I decided I want to buy a graphics card, but I don't have much knowledge about the matter, so I'm not quite sure what to get. My current graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4200, and while it runs games such as League of Legends comfortably enough with adjusted settings, it doesn't run anything else at a level that I'd prefer it to. I don't plan to play hardcore or with HD settings, otherwise I'd just get a gaming comp. I'm looking to play other games such as Guild Wars 2, Tribes: Ascend, and Tera, and I want to be able to run those at at least 30 FPS on moderate/normal settings (Though if I could run it at high, that wou

I need help updating my Amd driver Please keep in mind that I have no idea what I'm doing, so I really need help. So in order to try and get better FPS rates for PC games, I've heard that I should check and see if there were any updates to my graphics driver. When I found out what mine was (ATI Radeon HD 4200), I tried to update it. According to the AMD VISION Engine Control Center, mine is at Catalyst 11.7, while the latest one is Catalyst 12.4. So then I downloaded it and installed it, and according to the installation process, everything was finished. The problem was after I hit the "Finish" button, nothing happened. I thought I'd have to do a system reboot to make changes apply, but no notification popped up. Then when
