Who else is afraid of major debt? My parents paid for all of my undergraduate education, which wasn't too expensive because Georgetown provides great aid. Now that I'm in med school, I obviously have to pay for my own education, and I'm afraid that it will take forever to pay off. The total cost of attendance is about 80k a year, brought down to about 65k a year with some financial aid (med schools in the U.S. seem to give the WORST financial aid). I'm looking intro pediatric neurosurgery, but it's not easy to focus in school when you realize you have to pay off all your loans/debt...

Because I know that Sat scores come/came out today Hello everyone! I was up with my younger brother at 5:00 AM to check his SAT scores, so I've been reminded of the reality-check that standardized tests provide when you get the results. For students in University who are going to be Juniors with a plan to enter a field in medicine, are you guys preparing for the MCAT this Summer? I have Summer courses that I have to take as a Physics pre-med student, but I think it would be wise to prep for the MCAT NOW, because most people take it during Junior year. I'm having a tough time with the biological section....I'm a Physics major with a very critical-thinking based mind, so physical sciences like Chemistry and Physics are easier for me than some

Question to ask those in college Hey all, this is lv233. I have a question for those of you in college. I am currently a freshman at Georgetown University, "majoring" (not really because you don't declare a major freshman year) in biology (you don't have to know what lol :D). As i'm taking my required science requisites for pre-med, I'm beginning to feel like by the time I'm a junior, I should major in Physics instead of Biology; in high school, I was the "ace" of my ap biology class, got an 800 on my sat II biology test, and got my letter of recommendation from my bio teacher (honestly, these are all WORTHLESS, I mean, these college level bio classes put AP BIOLOGY TO SHAME), but I'm starting to realize that bio
