Sat vs Act I decided to try out the ACT and unlike the SAT, I was able to score fairly well (32 on diagnostic). I told my parents that I should focus on the ACT since my score is significantly higher than the SAT (1800-1900). However, my dad says that I should rather focus on the SAT because he thinks that the SAT is more popular and colleges will overlook the ACT. Is there some sort of flaw to the ACT or are the two equally treated in college admissions? Is there something that people do not know but should know about both of the tests? P.S: I will submit both my SAT and ACT scores.

Help Sat Cr Sections Hi guys, I am planning on taking the SATs this November. I feel confident about the Math and Writing Sections as constant practice can raise those scores up. However, the only thing I do not feel comfortable about is the Critical Reading Section. THIS PART IS WHAT KILLS ME THE MOST. Let me start off by just saying that I have been practicing for maybe less than a month and hopefully, I can increase my score from the 40's to at least the 60's. Anyway, no matter how much I practice and review the answers to the questions, I just can't seem to improve as I am still stuck in the 40's. For practicing, I have been primarily using the SAT Official BB and Barron's. I have tried to use some common tips such as marking line refer

Ap Bio or Chem High School Class Registration Hi basilers, In school, we have just gotten our registration forms for classes next year. However, I am stuck on deciding which science AP to take. First of all, I am a Sophomore in Biology (Non-honors) right now, but I am supposed to be in honors (stuck in non-honors science class since freshmen year). I looking to take either AP Bio or AP Chem my Junior year. My ultimate goal is to take AP Physics my senior year. Taking non-honors chemistry next year is an option for me in order to get to AP Physics, since I can go from chemistry to physics, but not AP Bio to AP Physics. This option will not interest many colleges since AP looks a lot better than a regular class. If I jump from non-honors Biol

Sat Prep and Books Hi basilers, As a sophomore, I am starting to prepare for the SAT's that are in the fall this year. However, from choosing prep books, I do not know where to start. When I took a practice SAT exam, I got 1610. I took this without any experience with the SAT's. However, I will be taking SAT Prep classes over the summer in the hope of boosting my score. To start preparing early, which SAT Prep Book do you guys think is excellent? I have glanced at Princeton, Barron's, Kaplan, and The Collegeboard books. I was thinking about staying with Barron's since it is harder, but I do not know if I should start out with that, especially with my practice score. What are your guys' opinions and why? Thanks a bunch! ;)
