Pocket Knife Decision Which pocket knife do you think I should buy I plan on using it as one of my everyday carry items;psc=1 This one^ I feel looks a little too aggressive but has more "features" to it, but it does seem more reliable ;qid=1480477775&sr=8-3&keywords=pocket+knife This one^ apparently could have some screw problems. I would need to get longer screws. A bit of a hassle but I guess worth considering. But I do like the look of this one as it is more casual Thanks for the help

Skateboarding advice for a newbie So I recently was a gifted a fake** penny board (ik the the title says skateboard, i messed up, fight me) and apparently its "cheap" when comparing to other ones online (its like $20). I spent a couple hours getting myself used to it. I know how to actually ride it and turn and stuff. The thing i dont know how to do, or rather cant do, is keep going, like legit like keep moving(unless its a downhill). I do keep pushing with the leg thats not on the board, but I dont get far. I mentioned earlier that it was cheap because apparently that may be the problem. But im not sure. So can anyone give me advice for this problem **I say fake because apparently, as my short online research has concluded, any &

Why dont we talk about the things that are bothering us? I feel like we live in a troubled world. The only thing distracting us from it is all the material things (phones, tv shows, etc.). The fact of the matter is, we don't live in a utopia. There are people going through hell on earth while I'm typing this while eating popcorn. Of course this is an extreme example, but hopefully you get the idea. In my experiences, this is true in social gatherings. I mean, yeah why would you want to talk about depressing things, but then again, why not. Isn't it better to get everyone's opinions and try to make those problems go away? My question is, why do people rarely talk about things that are bothering them? Is it because people don't trust one anot

Weird Story Sup guys, been a while. So I was feeling a bit down the other night because of some comments my aunt/cousins made about me (about how I stutter and how I talk fast and some other things) I know I shouldn't take it seriously, but idk, I'm weak. So I'm thinking of what she said and fall asleep. I have a dream where I lose one of my arm (It wasn't my entire arm, just the forearm). I dont remember how, but I just do. I'm thinking to myself "man, this sucks, how am I going to play basketball with my brother now." As I live my life with one arm, I lose my other arm. And as I'm realizing this, I wake up. So I guess the lesson that I guess I should've learned, and the lesson my body/mind was trying to teach me, was to be grateful for wh

To buy or to not to buyCar So my dad's friend is selling his 2010 Hybrid Toyota Camry for $3,000. Thing is, it has 300k miles on it. He said he replaced the battery (they're around ~$2,500) so hopefully that won't be a issue. Any "car people" know if we should buy it or not? and if so, should I try going for lower? Edit: The title was supposed to have periods before the word "Car". Edit2: Also, the only reason I'm even considering it AT ALL is because ik Toyota is/is one of the top most reliable car manufacturer(s).

Thank you to everyone here on basil I feel like every single person on this site has influenced me in one way or the other. (Granted, I am also appreciative of everyone in "real life" as well, but this message is for basil.) Recently, I have been self-reflecting a lot. I want to find what I am here to do on this planet and what my goals are and how I can make the people around me happy. And I feel basil has helped me a lot. I feel like everyone has a different perspective in life and the Internet, which includes sites like basil, bring everyone's experiences together. It's such an interesting thing to imagine. How some things that are "common sense" to you are completely foreign to others. Everyone has a different way of

I dislike cops I always give everyone respect unless they give me a reason not to. I will NEVER give cops any respect until they have earned it. Of course I'm going to treat them like a human. And of course I'll answer any questions they have, depending on the situation. But I will never truly respect cops until they prove otherwise. This may make me sound like an entitled a hole, but, imo, cops have too much power and we need to do something. (Coming from an American. Canadian cops, for the most part, are awesome though)
