In response to some complaints People want to qq and thats fine and all, but just in case you are actually too oblivious to notice... We are in the middle of a transitional period in maple, it takes a lot to program all new places, quests, skills, and mobs, and with the fear of all of you qqing even more if they don't make any new content for an extended period of time, they are going one piece at a time. To everyone complaining that there is no motive to train past 180 or so, and that leveling past 210 is too hard, there isn't supposed to be a motive yet, and they haven't made the higher level training grounds yet. Advice for weapon potentials Just gonna give some tips on what potentials are the best for your weapon/shield on your bish. Since you can get normal potential %magic from bonus potential, the absolute best thing to do would be get % boss for a regular potential then % magic from the bonus potential. As far as % boss goes, there is such a thing as too much. Once you get to about 200%, 30% more would only increase your overall damage by about 10%, where as 9% magic would give you the same effect, only it would apply to all monsters. If you want to compare % magic and % total damage, after RED, it would be more beneficial for us to have % magic, since we get so many % damage buffs. its better to have an even amount of each than a lot of one. Our Blatant Dominance This patch is absurd. 25% damage for being in a party and either 40% or 8 hit angel ray for bossing. big bang gets a massive damage boost to make it better than AR, and can be used when jumping with no charge. we get boss killer, holy fountain, healing AR, and a bunch of other things in addition to what we currently have support wise. I don't see how this is fair whatsoever, but I'm looking forward to it.
HOw do you stop town lag Its brutal, usually makes me dc. I have a beast comp, so I don't think there is any problem hardware wise. Anyone have any idea how to stop it?
Dojo with Bishops Yo guys, I just went and tried to dojo on my bish and ended up losing on the Snowman round, but it let me figure out what I need to beat it. In the 20-25 rounds, a few monsters are holy resistant, so we do half damage, and one of them floats up for attacks so you miss with AR. This is gonna be your first snag, make sure you are on your game with infinity + heaven's door. Heaven's door is neutral, so it does full damage. After that, its mainly a race against the clock (which i lost at round 34) I hit 1.2-1.4 mils, so my guess is that you have to hit at least 1.5 mils per line of AR to beat it. I need to check my damage on other bosses, but it doesn't look like boss damage applies inside dojo. Silver lining: not enough peopl
Did anyone notice a decrease in damage? My damage went down about 300k per line but my range is the same o.o
HoH or new place? The notes say that Golems will only have 20% exp boost per member, as opposed to 50 at HoH and LHC. Where is going to be the faster leveling?
Heads up on shields Visitor PQ is back so it should be easy to get Last Unwelcome Mage Shields again. They are probably your best bet in terms of potential and resale value, so if you are looking to get a shield, I'd wait and try to get one of them.

Are they ever gonna take the 255 scroll cap off? Im gonna start scrolling my fafnir, most likely gonna use the event 20%s, but if the 255 cap is gonna come off then i might go for +6 with better scrolls then fail the other two. Then clean slate after I enhance. Is it even worth it or is the cap always gonna be there?
Gonna go out on a limb and say anyone who is really upset with this patch isn't really playing the right class. It isn't necessarily their fault, because for a while Nexon changed the fundamental relationship of our class to others, so any one who started playing their bishop in the last year and a half or so was misled. Our damage is supposed to suck, and our support, contrary to a lot of people's inability to read, has been significantly buffed. And if my math is right, our DPS isn't even worse in a full party compared to before, everyone else just gets rightfully buffed more. While there are some things that are arguably not necessary or could be better, the patch as a whole is great. Most issues will hopefully be worked out by the end o
New Updates Sorry I died for a little, been busy. I will go through the guide again and finish what I didn't before, if anyone has any suggestions let me know. The update notes for the bishop revamp have been released and can be found on leafre (don't have the link, sorry. just google kmst 12.478) It looks really good, we aren't necessarily getting stronger, just cooler. Mostly animation changes, but also some effect changes like Angel Ray healing party members. We also have some new skills that I haven't quite been able to understand. There is some buff that activates and stay active for as long as you hold the up arrow, and the Bishop Series Skill gives exp to party member, but not the bishop, and only if the party has 3 or less people. N
If you want to make money selling Hs You have to work. People don't pay a lot for HS since it is too easy to level. But, by making an expedition and being friendly/ convincing, as well as quick and organized, you can HS 10 or more people at Aliens or Jesters at once, each paying 5-10mil an hour. This requires you to actually play the entire time, switching people in and out of parties and knowing who needs HS when, which may conflict with your "I want money to appear magically" mentality, but can be very fruitful. Earn your money, it feels better.
In the effort to make an accurate Dps chart I'm going to make a video recording attack speed of Bishops, and showing all of the calculations using that to calculate DPM. Once its done, I'll post another thread with the video, and I am asking veterans of maplestory in other classes to do the same. The DPM charts online seem to be very off, and I want to have videos proving the math for everyone to confirm or refute the existing ones. If you wanna make a video, send me a PM with what class you are going to do and we can reassert what damage formulas are in use and what not to make sure that our results are accurate and consistent with each other.
