Maplestory Union Spreadsheet Resource EDIT: After a lot of headache and unfortunate live-editing, I've now included damage calculations and coins per hour calculations. This is possible thanks to hard work done by others. Credits can be found on the spreadsheet and here: I made a little spreadsheet thing for helping to plan out what characters to use for your union when it comes out. It calculates your total stat bonuses based on your character levels and which characters you wanna use as an attacker. (it does not calculate the tetromino grid aspect of maplestory union, however). Instructions are included in the spreadsheet. It's a bit of a niche thing, but I'm currently using it myself to plan which characters I need to level/focus on for

Battlemage Decent Speed Infusion I would have posted this in the bam subforum, but it's dead. How useful is attack speed for bams considering out telecasting? Is it worth it to forgo speed infusion in favor of rerolling for %int/crit damage + sharp eyes neb? (I'd rather not use nodes for those skills because of the cool down and using up a valuable node slot) I'd go from attack speed 3 to attack speed 4 by giving up dSI. My current glove is dSE/dSI/crap. Empress glove. Debating rerolling it or upgrading to absolab. I don't want to use a tyrant because I don't think it's worth it for the price and the stats are only a little bit better than a fully scrolled absolab unless you get it to high star count (and 5-7 is my reasonable limit at the m

Showa and Ninja Castle I tried to add a story about my thoughts on the new mush shrine update. However, I can't post it because it has "restricted language." It won't tell me what it is and I can't figure it out. I was allowed to post this as a comment reply in another thread. What gives? "So did they forget about Showa Town and Ninja Castle? Both are inaccessible. I can get to Showa Town because I have a rock. The Forest of Animals still exists when you walk back that way, but the portal out sends you to the new mush shrine, and I can't see the world map from there. Ninja Castle is blocked from hyper rocks, but I imagine botters are going to be able to get there. And now since no one else can go there and report them, they have total reign

Diligence and Spell Trace Experiments Results: 406 slots I scrolled with 70%s while not in the guild. If diligence did not affect the rate, it should be 95%. Not a single slot failed. The odds of this happening IF it's 95% are about 9 in 10 billion, roughly rounding to 1 in a billion. (if you think that's still too large of a chance for error, I'm willing to do another 203 slots for a roughly 3 in 100 trillion chance if they all succeed, too) Therefore, I conclude that diligence does affect spell traces, and those that claim that they have failed a "95%" spell trace with max diligence are mistaken. I also did a test outside of fever time, with guild skill on 207 slots (203 + 4 times where the guild skill saved the slot). The results were 17

Equip Balancing Discussion This thread is just to discuss some balancing issues. These aren't proposals, but just thoughts on some problems. There's two serious issues that I think need to be addressed by Nexon: overalls and tyrant gear. Overalls: The problem with overalls started with the introduction of the potential system. Before, overalls compared to tops/bottoms were fairly balanced given the number of slots and the base stats. But since the potential system came out, choosing an overall over a top + bottom isn't as good because you lose out on extra potential lines. The introduction of the cRA set made this way worse, making overalls an eccentric choice at best. Sweetwater and Absolab gear simply doesn't get used because of that damn
