No, just the stats expire. The medal itself doesn't register in the medal collection though, so you will have to keep it in your inventory if you intend to anvil it.

Well, I had jumped main twice already after returning to the game so I figured I should just pick something and stick with it. I knew I preferred thieves over other classes, and the phantom cutscenes
