So I asked this girl

There's this girl who I've had a crush on since like middle school, but I don't really talk to her because I am really shy. Anyways, my friends pressured me to ask her out to the movies for during our thanksgiving break so I did. I asked her right after school was out and this is how it went.
me- "hey do you want to catch a movie with me sometime over the break?"
her- "Which movie?"
me- "harry potter"
her- "Oh I already seen that movie"
me" oh... was it good?"
Her- yea it was awesome
me- ok...

at this point I pretty much bailed out of there. My friends and I discussed what to do if she said yes or no, but i didn't know what to do if she already saw the movie. I did want to tell her how I felt about her right then and there, but idk what kept me back. Now what should I do?
If you're an awkward and/or shy person like the TS though, at least you'll have something to talk about after the movie while walking around the mall/wherever.
what fun is that when you're just talking about a movie.
the point of a date is to get to know a person, talking about a movie you saw 10 minutes ago isn't considered "getting to know someone"

that's why i reject any guy who asks me out to a movie, i hate movie dates, they're boring.
gosh about time somebody's said that, i've been thinking about this lately
how is a movie a date if you barely get to speak to the person, unless you're going to a dinner or something after the movie
I had also planned that out too. If she said yes to the movies I would ask her for her number and then ask her if she wanted to go to dinner before going to the movie. well that didn't happen
ask her if she wants to see a different movie
Pretty much this.

"Ah.. well there's also ___________________ (insert movie title here) or ____________________ (insert other movie title 2 here). Which of those 2 would you like to see? Personally, I think ________________ (pick one of the 2 movies) looks good. How about you?"

......
Seriously?
Just hang out with your friends and tell her she's free to join you (don't formally invite).
Chances are if she's even remotely interested, she'll come along after a couple casual invites.
Then don't pressure her but make it evident your giving her SLIGHTLY more attention to her.
Casual converse with her, if she's showing signs go and casually confess
