THe guy was obviously drunk, thus he had a clouded mind, in such a state it may seem perfectly reasonable to an anger prone drunk to murder somone for such a minor offense as being looked at. As to why the other guy killed the drunk . .. thats obvious, the drunk said he was going to murder the dude, he even pulled out a sword
