If a comic is saturated with jokes then we shouldn't look at the comic as a whole but break it down piece by piece. How is it a "smart persons comic"? I mean, this is overplayed in the media to the point where the common person would know what this is referring to. Wait... Overplayed in the media...This sounds familiar. OH! Isn't that another thing the DP was making fun of? I found it funny because it created an over dramatization of how the media handled this (I also laughed when I saw the woman because I thought it was Clinton at first), it created laughter by a racist white person telling everyone to prosecute the white person, and there are many others that are funny if you know the information behind them. The fact that I had to explain them, makes them less funny (explaining the joke takes the laughter out of the joke). Maybe you should look harder before automatically accusing someone of making a non-funny comic when it was funny to the people who had the facts before looking at them. Maybe you should keep updated on the news to understand it. They aren't as you said "Unrelated characters doing random stuff". Each of them has a purpose, sorry that you can't understand that purpose. To me, if you don't care about all the mass that are fighting against you, maybe you shouldn't care enough to post an obviously negative comment, when this was a well thought out piece.
