People get criticed from opinions, which is way if you're confindent in your art and like your style it doesn't matter who else likes it. Art is meant to be appreciated, not flame. And no appreciated doesnot mean you get a ton of praises or "best" art work. Sometimes the best praise is slience. Now respect other artists and everyone else. Everyone else respect him. To T.S. It's not one of MY favorites that I've seen, but I like nonetheless. Keep up the good work. i will link them to you to prove i am not lying you guys can say im lying cuase i didnt show them in this comment but i don't know how to link on basil since i haven't ever really done any thing except auction and comment so can someone tell me how and ill gladly show all of you my paintings Duskiryl said: " Jul 03, 9:02pm "Don't sign over your character, I'm sure no one would steal it. The face is horrible looking, the smile too big and the eyes too low with the eyebrows lost in her hair. The finger pointing up looks so weird too. The way her arms come down looks like shes trying to touch her sides with her elbows and the skirt is drawn wrong, you drew it was if both her legs were in front. The back foot looks like that could be her third foot. Sorry but it's true... The highlights of the hair looks nice though but the back hair got lost in the background." I'm glad to hear such constructive commentary from a critic who clearly has "background" in the arts. Are you an artist? Because that crude comment you made on my friend's picture clearly says otherwise. Trying to cover up your naivete with comments on "perspective" are terribly transparent, to say the least. In addition, prefacing your comment with a statement like “don't sign over your character, I'm sure no one would steal it,” simply reinforces the impression that you are merely an ill-mannered person with too much time on your hands. Such an unseemly remark simply signals to decent people that the rest of the comment should not be taken seriously and that the author is one of poor upbringing. Furthermore, a real critic would have the manners not to use baseless remarks like "horrible looking." In fact, who in real life would actually say things like that to someone? There is criticizing and then there is just being mean, and the way you commented on the picture was just being mean. Would you say things like that if you were speaking to the artist in person? If you would, then you really are an uncultured, uncouth individual. And if you are just being rude because of the anonymity of the Internet, then that shows that you are not only a coward, but also a fake, because you act differently in person and on the net. Anonymity does not give free license to be rude. Frankly, I have a background in the arts. I am a graphic designer and I do work as an elected officer for two non-profit organizations. I genuinely do have experience in the art field and, not to rub it in your face, but it's because of my experience that I can tell that you are an amateur. The artwork, if looked at and appreciated for its own stylistic nature is actually very good, particularly in comparison to much of the other work that gets posted and for an individual who has not had the luxury of formal art training and instead had to work independently to find her own artistic niche. Something that you, apparently, have yet to do. Please don't flaunt your dilettantism on the net, because it only makes you seem pathetic -- somewhat like an 11-year old trying to "fit in" with the big crowd. Trying and failing. Miserably. Link it if you'd like to be treated the same way you treated the poor artist. New Blog: Strange dream...

I'm going to be an Illustrator, going into college for a BFA next year. So I know a little bit. Art is not born of selfishness. Hint: People would take you more seriously if your typing didn't make you sound like an idiot. New Blog: Fancomic: Fissures

You think the best artist in your town trophy gives you the right to insult other people like that? Wake up, kid. Not only did we not ask for your life story, but it's completely irrelevant how well you can draw (or how skillfully you can use asterisks, but not actual curses). There's always going to be someone better, and it's quite obvious who's the better person morally- the 8th grader who's a supposed college level artist, or the person who submitted the pic.
