Ellin is an ancient-past version of Ellinia (but you quite know that already). The Temple of Time is simply another dungeon for high levels to enjoy themselves at. It's an alternative to Leafre, well, at least for the 140+ people.
Is this where Ellin Forest will be available?

In fact, before OoT even came out, in Japan a final fantasy came out ( In america its FFIII for the DS) that had a dungeon called The Temple of Time. (The game wasn't released on the DS in japan but was remade for the DS before it was released in america ). So if anything, Zelda should get sued by the makers of final fantasy. The only reason most people catch the OoT reference easier is that FFIII was released not to long ago for the DS (and wasn't that popular) while OoT was one of the most popular games of all time.
