Video Info
Speedpaint video for the drawing I did of my Kaiser.
During one recording, I was on a school Mac and could only use Quicktime, and I had to convert to a format that could be used in a video editing program... which ended up looking like crap, so there's about 15 seconds of super-low quality recording in there that I didn't want to just leave out. I don't like the hair in the middle of her head sticking up for no reason. Otherwise, it's pretty great. Now go paint it for real.

It's part of her character design. It's a stylistic thing, a cartooned cowlick. She's based off of a character from my comic I'm making. As for "painting for real," as much as I'd love to, I don't have the money for real paints, nor do I have the visual capability (I'm colorblind). I'd need someone to keep track of the colors I'm using, someone I can trust, because it's totally happened before where people tell me I'm using a different color just to screw with me. I've done traditional colored work, though, but only with Copics since they say the color on the markers, and the medium is contained within its vessel at all times (unlike paint). Either way, I do feel that the same skillset goes into both, and simply the understanding of composition, form and lighting are what's needed to work in any medium. If not for my visual handicap, I'd certainly dive into traditional mediums, especially oil paints. BassChan: It's part of her character design. It's a stylistic thing, a cartooned cowlick.
