If she's Japanese then she's not a weeb.

It just loosely translates to senior, you've presumably been working there longer and she's showing respect for that.

Sempai is used to refer to a senior in work, school, etc.. Unlike "senior", you can use it directly with the person you're referring to as sempai.

You can tell her that she doesn't have to call you sempai in Murrikuh. There shouldn't be an equivalent word in English, and you should be able to refer to any colleagues with just their first names.

I spelt "sempai" with "m" because unlike "senpai", "m" has a natural transition to the "p" sound in "sempai" as both sounds require the lips to pronounce, and the "n" requires the tongue and teeth.

I don't understand weebs just as much as I don't understand those who hate weebs with a passion, and I don't have the nerves to deal with both of those kinds of people (especially the latter, since they're less open than weebs).

Off topic, but the Netflix Death Note movie suck balls. Save yourself from attempting to watch this tragedy. I see it as a good advertisement for the original anime series, because it had reminded me to re-watch it for the third time on Netflix.
