Can someone mathematically explain this to me? Okay, so my little sister is in the 9th grade and said that she had a really confusing problem on a math test. Apparently on the test, they asked her to solve the following inequality and sketch the graph of it: X^3+4x^2-12x > 0 She told me to do it for her to see if she got the same answer and we did, we ended up both doing this: Factor out x. -----> x(x^2+4x+12) > 0 Factor completely. ------> x(x+6)(x-2) > 0 When I graphed it, the part of the graph that was over the x-axis was between -6 and 0 and approached infinity after crossing through the x-axis at (2,0). How To Tell If Ive Dislocated My Thumb? I was doing a run at the park and when I finished, I knelt down and bent it on the floor. This is what's frustrating for me: I've jammed my thumb before EXACTLY LIKE THIS and it's usually nothing to worry about. It goes away and then it's back to normal. For some particular reason, this time, I have never experienced pain this excruciating. I cannot open my hand fully since it requires my thumb to straighten out and move downward and when it does that it hurts severely. Your birthday backwards? Okay, so basically, write your birth date out numerically (WITHOUT the year) as mm/dd and flip the month and day, and that's your birthday BACKWARDS. For example: If my birthday was June 4th (06/04), my birthday backwards would be April 6th (04/06) Ex. 2: August 10th (08/10) is October 8th backwards (10/08) Ex. 3: March 7th (03/07) is July 3rd backwards (07/03) I might sound like a hypocrite if I say this, but I can't do it because it's impossible. Spurs win 2014 Nba championship I know I'm a day late, but I was too busy celebrating yesterday to get to it LOL. I'm a LeBron fan, but at the same time an 18-year San Antonio Spurs fan. When they go head-to-head, I'm always rooting for the Spurs no matter what. Because they're my team. I've seen my Spurs win all 5 of their championships and this one is the sweetest because we're the sole reason for the stopping of a Heat 3-peat. My boy, Kawhi Leonard, gets Finals MVP! What car do you drive? Hey basilers, I made this thread because I'm so excited and can't resist telling everyone about this. I just picked up my new Infiniti G35 Sedan. The look is so sick... in a smooth black color, brand new and no paint scratches. Smooth car, extremely fast, and great handling. On my way home I accelerated on the highway and the car has incredible speed. There was no one near so I went from 0-60 MPH in 5-6 seconds. When I turn on the car, the sound of the revving engine is so awesome and during acceleration the sound you hear is so awesome to listen to. So what car do you drive?
