How badly do W's affect your transcript I currently have 4 w's on my transcript. I'm at a community college. 3 of those w's were due to military related reasons. Another 1 was a 1 unit online course that I didn't feel like doing. I may drop one more class this semester which turns out to be a class that I don't need for my major(nursing). My question is, how badly do w's affect your transcript when it comes to transferring. If I drop this class I'll have 5 w's. I should note my overall gpa throughout CC is 3.5, and am still currently serving so Idk if that affects admissions decisions or not.

Decided to take up Violin So kind of just made the final decision to take up and learn Violin. I really feel like music can be so important and vital to someone's life and get be a great stress reliever, and you can play more passionate when feeling emotions running through you. Growing up, I played the guitar but I never consistently stuck with it. So I'm hoping Violin is the one for me. Any advice for me? I'm not "young" I suppose when it comes to learning a new instrument, I'm 20, so idk if that will have any bearing on anything. And any advice on what kind of violin to get for beginners?

Have the race wars officially begun? With everything going on now with black lives matters and the police, and now this new charlotte incident, is it safe to say the race wars of this decade have officially begun or are about to begin? I want your guys opinions on this. I'm preparing a presentation for my political science class and would like some input here. My personal opinion: I don't like BLM at all and within themselves they have yet to agree on what they actually stand for. In the case of the charlotte incident, turns out the man had a gun and not a book. And the leader of the local NCAAP chapter had the nerve to say "It doesn't really matter if he had a gun or not..." I respectfully accept all opinions on here, whether in agreement

Trouble deciding a major. What's yours? Quick Background: 21 years old, have been in the US Army since I was 17(yes joined early with parent's signature and consent). I am nearing that point where I am at the tail end of my contract and will be officially enrolled in a community college this time next year. I am a combat medic in the Army and have around 3 years of medical experience and background with some certifications now. I have no idea if I should stay in the medical field and go become an RN as like 90% of all other students are doing. Or if I should go get a bachelor's in economics. Tbh actually maple made me realize I have interest in business, with all of the buying and trading and reading prices and paying attention to market ch

Your view on Veterans? Important Hey guys, I'm doing a statistics project within my stats class, and I'm working on a topic about veterans and how the public portrays them and why. I decided to pick up this topic since I am still currently serving my country, so it hits close to home, but I wanted to ask you guys, What are you views on veterans? And those that join the military in general? Your thoughts on them in war, what they do, what they have to do, do you feel like they're to blame etc etc. Just whatever comes to mind. But PLEASE be as honest as possible and don't hold back your argument or opinion. I am here to collect data and read as to why you think that way, regardless of the fact that I am in the military and what my views are.

Had Kbbq for the first time tonight I had kbbq for the first time tonight. Holy moly...how have I missed out on this for the past 20 years of my life? Funny thing is i'm half korean/half italian. Then again, I grew up in a "white washed" asian culture on my mom's side persay so I can see where I missed out, but jeez...I think this is something I'll be eating every week. And what really appeals to me is more of the social aspect of cooking with your friends right there on the grill in the middle of the table. It makes for a nice setting.
