Elemental Staves and BattleMage Hate This has to end. Few things boil my blood as much as being told as a Battlemage, I shouldn't be using an elemental staff, because it's not "mine". Somehow, huffy Evans, i/L mages and f/p mages are getting their nickers in a wad because Battlemages like to use elemental staves. What weapon I choose to use is my own. It is not YOUR job to tell me what I can and cannot use. There is no rule that says only YOU GUYS get to use elemental staves. It's the best weapon we battlemages can currently use, as well as all other mages except bishops. Would you prefer to keep our class how it is now? This is a question for battlemages. The new revamp in KMS is, at best, controversial. There are some that like it entirely, some that hate it, and some that only want parts of it. This thread is to gauge GMS's community's take on this revamp. The poll is do you want us exactly as we are now, or do we take the new update. There's no in-between here. You must choose between us as we are now vs the new update. 200% Mad - Kmst 1.2.019 changes WARNING: RANT. This info is also highly subject to change considering it's a KMST patch, and a new one at that. More tweaking to come. Once again, Bams get a nerf and every other mage gets am arguable buff. To clarify: KMS recently made clarifications about damage%, att%, and final damage%. Final damage% is applied separately from boss damage. They reduced eleresist on i/L and f/p and evan from 100% to 10%, but gave them 50% final damage as a passive for it. For bishop, vengeance goes from 25% to 10% ele resist ignore and they get 10% final damage. For lumi, they got their ele resist reduced to 10%, but gained 40% final damage. For Blaze Wizard? Reduced ele resist ignore form 100% to 70%. SEVENTY PERCENT. PLU

"Debuff Aura - Elemental Reset: in addition to existing effects, now increases your attacks' final damage on enemies affected by Debuff Aura" No word yet on the actual number, but hey, finally an end to the nerfs? It's a hyper skill, so it's likely only 10% or something. Attack Speed Issue? I've been up all night, so I may just be wrong, but wtf is going on with my attack speed? Video: to be added later. currently uploading Basically: I'm attacking faster with a normal (6) staff than my fafnir, but the math says I should be capping at faster (2) with both: fafnir is 8. booster is 2, yellow passive is 2, dSI is 1, yellow active is 1. that's 8 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1= 2 I timed it and I'm getting ~96 per minute with the fafnir, but ~108 per minute with the normal speed staff. What's going on? Is booster only 1? Is dSI broken? Does dSI go over cap speed somehow? I just don't get it.

What does battlemage need in a revamp? This is sort of a fun thread. Let's analyze our class and look at our strengths and weaknesses and try to determine where we could use revamps or new features. 5th job speculation is also up for discussion. This of this as a wishlist for making a better battlemage class. Things I want: -Change to Grand Light Aura (or BCA if you prefer) that replaces, rather than is used alongside bodyboost. Basically, I'd like this skill to auto-cast (without animations) all 3 auras while giving its boost. I'd also like it if they let party members continue to get base aura while this skill is active. -Staff Expert: add in 50% buff mastery like explorer mages have -Battle Mastery (3rd) add 20% elemental resistance igno
