chemistry lab help can you please help me answer these questions? People usually think of water as being "wet". If water alone is used to wash clothing, however, it doesn't penetrate the fabric very well. How does the addition of detergent make water "wetter" (more capable of penetrating the pores of the fabric)? There are alot of cleaners and detergents on the market that contain Soddium carbonate. it is known that sodium carbonate neutralizes odors. Based upon the results of your experiment, does sodium carbonate play another role as well? When you read the contents of some cleaning powders or liquids they often list anionic surfactants. Predict what these anionic surfactants might be and how they might act. Thanks :)

Homework Enthalpy Help Can you guys help me on my homework? i really dont understand the concept of Enthalpy... 1. Calculate the Molar Enthalpy change when a block of ice is heated from -8.4 C to -5.2 C 2. The molar heat capacity of benzene is 136 J/K mol. Calculate the molar enthalpy change when the temp of C6H6 (benzene) changes from 19.7 C to 46.8 C 3. The Enthalpy of 1mol of a compound decreases by 428 J, when the temperature decreases by 10.0 K, what is the compound's molar heat capacity? thankyoo (:

Algebra 2 Help The horizontal distance x and vertical distance y in feet traveled by a firework can be modeled by the functions x(t)=v(cos angle)t and y(t) = -16t^2 +v(sin angle)t. v= initial velocity 166ft/s angle = 75 t= time in seconds 1. To nearest foot, what is maximum height that the firework will reach? 2. To achieve the greatest affect, the firework should explode when it reaches the maximum height. To the nearest second, howlong after the launch should the firework explode? thanks :]
