So the current Gms version is 92 wait, what?
If you look at the link that the game downloader and manual patch give, you can see that they're v92

When my friend was redownloading ms, he couldn't get it to work. We tried everything, changing the compatibility, disabling looping, un-installing and re-installing, restarting the computer, gamelauncher, website, until when we were trying to use the latest patch he mentioned that it probably wouldn't allow us to patch from 92 to the patch link I gave him, 109. So we looked again and lo and behold, v92 o_o
This is a sign... even nexon doesn't want people to play ms
such a fail. I don't even know how this happens

Looks like someone at Nexon HQ screwed up (oh the horror! ).
You could try sending in a technical issues ticket on the Maples site to let them know.
