Does Flame Gear stack to increase Mist Eruption damage?

I am a noob and I hate using teleport during bossing to apply the DoT.

My question is, does flame gear stack with mist so that both count as seperate DoT for Mist Eruption?

So according to this video, I have to hit the monster first for them to stack. But it seems like even when they are stacking, it just shows one combined number. does this mean there's only 1 DoT? (no added stack for eruption when combined?)
