Bm Range Calculator

I thought I'd go ahead and re-release this now that it's working at 99% correctness.

Just go to File > Make a Copy... then fill in your own stats for the yellow boxes and let the spreadsheet do all the math!

From my testing, all range calculations are now accurate to within +/- 1!

I'm currently working on getting damage per hit calculations working. If you'd like to take a peek, check the "Experimental Copy". Skills in red appear to be currently working, while blue are definitely not working.

Known errors: The ATT calculator has issues when %att potentials are included. You'll have to calculate it manually for now, but it's 100% correct if you don't have %att.
Alright tested it, I got it close enough, but never to a 99%. For me, its not really user friendly and took a long time to figure some things out, or I am just stupid. Some issues that I was o.o on:

1) I am asusming a person should not include Card stats in the first section? That should be clear or have a subtraction part to ensure the user doesn't include.

2) I still don't understand if atk% is even working for the regular part, I am lost on where that numeric value is feed to. I am not talking about the att% under "What's my attack"

3) The everything box achieved my unbuffed range at least the closest, however, the other boxes, I don't know what they are doing. They may not be wrong, but I am curious when you say clean range are you excluding skills? There are no notes to explain what each range means.

4) Confused on how to raise my crit without touching the wrong colored box.
1) The only common character cards that require special treatment are +stat. The Dex/Str not affected by % is where you include this. I haven't tested it rigorously since I don't use my AB card regularly. I'll add that to my list of things to look into. Things like the warrior set effect and Pally/Bucc cards would also mess things up and I'm not going to work on them since using them is stupid.

2) The "ATT calculator" calculates your +attack from skills, weapons, armor, (and probably character cards though I can't confirm it yet). If you went through and added all the +att from your equips, skills, and card sets it should be +/- of the calculated value from your range.

3) Something is very, very wrong if the "everything" equals your unbuffed range. If you give me a screen shot of your stat window and %dex/str/att values, I'll look into it.
The boxes are simply: Unbuffed, Buffed (including echo, IS, non-hyper Conc, MW), Everything also includes TaC, Epic Adventure, and hyper Concentrate.

4) All crit except SE should go in box G57 with min/max crit from potential directly below it.

I'll look into rewriting notes to be more descriptive and come up with some more detailed instructions.

@ryuushinou I'll test roundup() later.

@MapleAddict206 I have an Alpha version for MMs but it does not include any hypers and I make no promises about it working at all. I'm going to finish BM damage per hits before moving on to MMs.

1) Verrkol has gone off on his own design and layout since my initial release.. so I'm not sure how they work in terms of formulas. (But I have a suspicion you might've added numbers into what you don't really need to. Most of the range calculation is derived from your Totals or whatever you see in your character stats. The only thing that doesnt appear and require are skill effects such as passive damage% from Spirit Link and Kanna Link skill AND ATT(which is what the att calc is for).

2) There should only be 1 section (apart from the second section is to show your upgrades. Such as from 6%[what you have now]->12%att[theoretical but you plan to])

3) and 4) Verrkol can answer this.

But yeah I think he's still trying to get all the skill effects worked out so that he can move onto layout and making it in a more logical order.

this is the reason why i didn't ever finish my calculator, WAAY too much crap.

@ryuushinou: yea, inner abilities and +damage range thinguies mess up that whole section, could be one of those.

@airforce1: tell me about it, and that's not even going into inner abilities and sh...stuff like that that completely mess up your min/max range!

@bluebomber24: Apologies.. that would be mine(I think he hasn't changed the description for it so..).. Couldn't find a better way to say it.

Nvm.. it seems to be a roundign error. I won't know for sure because the information I got from verrkol was limited.

I tried it out myself with my friends att% arrow, try this new formula and see if it works(and alot of my error i found was due to spirit link... totally forgot about that).

=roundup((round(Clean_range/(wep_multiplier*(4*clean_dex+clean_str)/100)))/(1+passive_damage%))

@ryuushinou: then the descriptions arn't good enough f3. alright i am actually working with it right now....the atk stuff is wierd tho.

@bluebomber24: Clean means.. when you haven't casted a buff. As in when you log in and you haven't touched your skills what does your AP UI say?

e.g.
DEX: 6000(999+5001). 6000 would be your clean total dex.
999 would be your base AP/dex

@airforce1: I am still frowning at the fact that I have to count my clean dex....

@darkspawn980: Already did that.. adding 1 att or subtracting doesn't land on the max range. So my speculations were that the att% may not be applying to some of the att or only on specific sources. I assume anything frm our gear would apply but things like character cards and skills are one of those that might not apply.

Either that or there are places where you round down, round up or to the nearest number that I do not know of or a mixture of both (as for now I'm not even close to the nearest tens or ones).
the way i thought it would work (but alas, i am unsure of how to type it in "excel terms" is basically have the program do the reverse-engineering, then round down and check if using that number to get the max range works, if it doesn't then substract one (or add one, not sure which is the correct option)
I could certainly do that... but it would be incredibly ugly. Every coding instinct flinches at the thought. I don't have enough %att to test if there's ever a difference larger than 1 either. It would be nice if @bluebomber24 would get off his lazy butt and do some testing

-crashes in through the window-

@bomber: the issue is with the attack calculator only, and i'm thinking of ways here but there's a chance of it not being fix-able, sinse it's reverse-engineering it.
