Worth funding?
Soo i love love love my pally, and i just read about the huge nerf they are getting. So now i am wondering if i should still fund my pally, or just let it be. I used it a lot for bossing, and I'm guessing they're not going to be good bossers anymore lol.
Hallp?

The way i look at it is if the nerf is too severe for you, then you can always open class change to Hero since they both use 2H swords and the same armor.
yep aint we sexy tho
Funding required to solo CRA and Magnus after the nerf is going to be astronomical. If your interest is in bossing, your money will be more efficiently spent on a different class. If it's the paladin itself you prefer, end-game is certainly possible but it will cost A LOT.
if i had knew pally was this bad azz years ago i would have being op as hell
I'm sticking with my Paladin, the whole reason I play it is to watch my friends try so hard to survive bosses while I just activate Sancrosanctity. Never really cared for the damage.
I'll just echo the first couple posters' responses, though it may be redundant.
Play a class you love, not the one that's strongest. Doing it that way will keep you motivated to actually play it and get good.
The nerf to damage is fairly frightening, I will give you that. That being said, your weapon multiplier with a 2H sword is still 1.3ish and you are still a steroid class. You don't buff AS hard as a dark knight, but you're buffing a lot harder than the average class IMO, and Blast is still decent. A line is lost and you lose the elemental reset, but it's still 5 lines and has a passive 30% PDR, 31% with CO. Pally is just going from maple on easy mode to maple on normal mode.
They are great tanks with good support skills.
Paladin is the sexiest class. Proven fact.
Use your funds to get McDonalds chicken nuggets! You get 4 for $1! Think of how many nuggets you will get! <3
it's a big nerf but imho it was sort of needed since paladins were wayyy too op before the nerf. it's a little harsh but we are still overall better than what we used to be, and we are still pretty decent bossers (great support skills, alright damage). I love seeing myself getting hit by 1s and all that so I'll stay with my paladin
IMO Getting hit by 1s doesn't really mean anything considering by the time you get to bossing that doesn't even come into a factor.
But there is a nice 25% less damage on %hp attacks which really helps for bosses that can 1 hit or even just do 80% of hp with attacks. like all cra bosses including cvel, and emp.
Our damage gets a little more than cut in half in the nerf, but you shouldn't worry about damage. Play a class because you like it, not because its strong.
We also have some nice support skills for bossing including:
-Threaten
-An AOE Bind
-A Res with temp invincibility
-Combat orders
-Parashock Guard
-Crash
Unless youre somebody who is insanely pro and can currently solo cvel and is worried about losing their dps needed, then don't worry that much about the nerf
Don't forget that the nerf was to prepare for 5th job, so hopefully we'll be op again then.
As Taylor Swift does with her many boyfriends that she scares away with her clinginess: Shake it Off.
hahahaha hell ya same here pally all day

ofc is worth it, i mean it doesnt matter how strong another class can be, they will never(and i mean NEVER) be as tankier as a Pally and u are one of the best party supporters too, so is up to u in the end, pretty funded pallys can solo every single boss in the game(not dorothy, but thats another story) so if u love the class(like me) keep ur pally.
Play the class if you enjoy it. Don't worry about funding - you should be fine either way, really.
From one of the best DPSers on end game bosses to a bit below average on end game bosses. If you like the class then stick with it, liking it will help motivate you more than anything else.
