How many push-ups can you do in a minute
Not those lame push-ups. "Perfect push-ups," straight back, and as you go down, your arms are at a 90 degree angle.
It's pretty sad that I could only do xx, it's too sad to say.
Edit. FINE, I did 15 perfect push ups. After I do them, I have no feeling in my arms and it's difficult to stand up from the ground. -.-
20-30 in a minute, just a 13 year old weak kid
Same!
err depends like right now i am a bit sick, i tried doing ans i did 30 in 30 secs stopped after that
normally i stop after 50-70
but if i really wanted to i belive i can get somewhere form 80-85 despite the fact that i wouldn't be able to do anything after that
@GmbH: I believe in 100+ without proper form, but 80 with is what I have problems with.
10, I was never the athletic type.
Zero.
@gmbH @5hezam
And any others... take a look at this.
Please be realistic... that guy is pumped, doing the specified pushups, and can only do 101 in 3minutes.
Which would be... 40~45ish in 1 minute.
@Amythedino : Please put this up there, or some other video like it.. I mean there's just too much BS here.
high 30s now.
I haven't worked my arms in so long.
been working my core and legs instead.
waiting for myself to grow taller, so I don't look like a buff shorty.
21 for ph.sed class
6.... 1 per 10 seconds
Idk 10 -_________-
It's less than 90 degrees.
You're supposed to have your chest close enough to the floor that you can't fit a fist below it.
@Fornication: What makes you think that?
Eh I did 38 last time o_O
I need to exercise more. I did 40 just now. Used to be a bit more though.
lol so much bs in this thread
Don't be jealous.
OT: Around 60, give or take.
@AmyTheDino:
You have a stupid Physical Education board.
lol so much bs in this thread
Sign of manliness is not how many pushups you can do, but how much you dumbbell press and how many reps you do
I got half way to one then my arms died.
Zero.
Screw push-ups.
Im too cool for those.
i can do 15 in 30 seconds i cant do 1 minute of push ups unless i do it slowly
If you do perfect pushups, you're not suppose to time it.
You're suppose to go down slow, and come back up slowly. (That's what she said)
Doing them fast doesn't work your muscles out as much.
tldr: Pushups aren't a speed exercise.
It was a test. At school.
when i do slow and poweful, strong pushups it usually 10
when i do it super fast like most people it easy as 30
go down lift up partiallly medium movements, easy
big large movemnt and slow takes a while but feels worth it
¿In a minute? A proper pushup should take you at least 2 seconds to go down two and another 2 seconds to go up if you do a lot really fast you are just going to hurt your joints.
I know. that was my pace xD
I was stuck when I went down, so I couldn't do one more. Then time was out xD
Actually, it doesn't matter. Good push-ups should be done in a 2/1/2 pattern. That means, 2 seconds to go down, hold the position down near the ground for one second, go back up (2 seconds).
I bet most of you won't be able to do even 5.
Just did 20 before I came back to tell you it's pretty much the same difficulty.

I can do 25=D. Although with music
I just tried it and I got 51
im 205 pounds and i can do about 80 (perfect push-ups) lol
Around 40 a minute.
I can do about 30-40 ;/ push up aren't too bad though. Triangle push ups are death. If you don't know what they are, try it! Put your hands like this and do a push up. Prepare for brutal workout haha
i cant barely do 15 of these
LOL what? Who actually does that on the regular?
I'm going to assume you didn't, because you probably haven't even bothered committing to working out, considering the crap you're spewing.
Contradict yourself much?
And as far as taller people go, they are not at a disadvantage. Yes it takes more movement to complete a pushup but they also have the same muscle ratio that goes with their bodies to even the playing field.
I'm not going to delve into kinesiology, or even basic physics, but I'll leave you a hint - longer limbs. It's universally known that the trend favours lighter people for bodyweight exercises.
TL? Decided not to read?: You're wrong.
You're an idiot.
EDIT: @Cheese
There's some really ripped 250lb dudes too....what's your point? :O
Clearly you didn't even read the posts (which doesn't surprise me, you don't seem to like being an informed individual). Originally the post stated 120 lb-ers are weaklings and couldn't possibly do x number of pushups, to which cheese replied that they can indeed be strong, though forgetting to specify in terms of calisthenics (which a 160-180 lber wouldn't have an advantage at..).
Back when I was doing pushups regularly, I got up to about 50 in a minute because I was able to do 80 in just about two minutes with a small break and obviously I had to slow down.
LOOOOOOOOL @ all you guys calling bull to any figure over 60/minute.
Join a high school gym class and participate in the fitness testing, I guarantee there will be more than just a couple people who pull it off.
looool at all the people saying 30+,i hope you realize this is one minute.
i'm not sure how many i can do in a minute, but i know i can do 111 in a row
maybe 30 tops....
Proper ones? In a minute?
Maybe like 5.
@xPersianPridex: Just because you haven't been able to do it, it's impossible? Well, so sorry that I don't conform to the poor ideals of your stereotypical basiler. Pushups are meaningless, and they're not difficult. Don't project your own failings upon the rest of the basil community.
I've seen someone do 80 pushups in a minute.
He worked out like hell and was on the swim team.
but this is pretty much the stupidest retort you could've made
...and pushups aren't meaningless.
more OT: i could do like 40, and then 10 scrawny bent pushups more.
;_;
like 20 and then drop dead.
42/60 perfect pushups in a minute.
in a minutes...? 20-25
How long can i go without getting tired? 42
About 45.
In one minute? I think it was high 30s or low 40s.. Dunno.
I recently started working out routinely, and I notice I could do more pushups nao
I can do 30-40 in burst (I go down enough), then I'd prolly rest for 5-10 sec, and burst the rest of the seconds. I'd say I could do like 50 in a min.
i can do 40 in 35 sec, after that i cant continue it aches to much
Like 4...? Gym class needs you to be able to do 10, so I just fake the rest.
10... quit after the first 20 seconds
No idea dun train my upper arms so much, I guess like 15?
