How many push-ups can you do in a minute

Not those lame push-ups. "Perfect push-ups," straight back, and as you go down, your arms are at a 90 degree angle.

It's pretty sad that I could only do xx, it's too sad to say.

Edit. FINE, I did 15 perfect push ups. After I do them, I have no feeling in my arms and it's difficult to stand up from the ground. -.-

@GmbH: I believe in 100+ without proper form, but 80 with is what I have problems with.

@gmbH @5hezam

And any others... take a look at this.
Please be realistic... that guy is pumped, doing the specified pushups, and can only do 101 in 3minutes.
Which would be... 40~45ish in 1 minute.
@Amythedino : Please put this up there, or some other video like it.. I mean there's just too much BS here.

high 30s now.
I haven't worked my arms in so long.
been working my core and legs instead.
waiting for myself to grow taller, so I don't look like a buff shorty.

It's less than 90 degrees.

You're supposed to have your chest close enough to the floor that you can't fit a fist below it.

Sign of manliness is not how many pushups you can do, but how much you dumbbell press and how many reps you do

It was a test. At school.

when i do slow and poweful, strong pushups it usually 10
when i do it super fast like most people it easy as 30
go down lift up partiallly medium movements, easy
big large movemnt and slow takes a while but feels worth it
¿In a minute? A proper pushup should take you at least 2 seconds to go down two and another 2 seconds to go up if you do a lot really fast you are just going to hurt your joints.
I know. that was my pace xD
I was stuck when I went down, so I couldn't do one more. Then time was out xD
Actually, it doesn't matter. Good push-ups should be done in a 2/1/2 pattern. That means, 2 seconds to go down, hold the position down near the ground for one second, go back up (2 seconds).
I bet most of you won't be able to do even 5.
Just did 20 before I came back to tell you it's pretty much the same difficulty.
LOL what? Who actually does that on the regular?
I'm going to assume you didn't, because you probably haven't even bothered committing to working out, considering the crap you're spewing.
Contradict yourself much?

And as far as taller people go, they are not at a disadvantage. Yes it takes more movement to complete a pushup but they also have the same muscle ratio that goes with their bodies to even the playing field.
I'm not going to delve into kinesiology, or even basic physics, but I'll leave you a hint - longer limbs. It's universally known that the trend favours lighter people for bodyweight exercises.
TL? Decided not to read?: You're wrong.
You're an idiot.
EDIT: @Cheese

There's some really ripped 250lb dudes too....what's your point? :O
Clearly you didn't even read the posts (which doesn't surprise me, you don't seem to like being an informed individual). Originally the post stated 120 lb-ers are weaklings and couldn't possibly do x number of pushups, to which cheese replied that they can indeed be strong, though forgetting to specify in terms of calisthenics (which a 160-180 lber wouldn't have an advantage at..).

Back when I was doing pushups regularly, I got up to about 50 in a minute because I was able to do 80 in just about two minutes with a small break and obviously I had to slow down.
@xPersianPridex: Just because you haven't been able to do it, it's impossible? Well, so sorry that I don't conform to the poor ideals of your stereotypical basiler. Pushups are meaningless, and they're not difficult. Don't project your own failings upon the rest of the basil community.
I've seen someone do 80 pushups in a minute.
He worked out like hell and was on the swim team.
but this is pretty much the stupidest retort you could've made
...and pushups aren't meaningless.
more OT: i could do like 40, and then 10 scrawny bent pushups more.

I recently started working out routinely, and I notice I could do more pushups nao
I can do 30-40 in burst (I go down enough), then I'd prolly rest for 5-10 sec, and burst the rest of the seconds. I'd say I could do like 50 in a min.
