Pink Bean strategy as a Battle mage?
So after a couple unsuccessful first tries at Pink Bean, I decided to look up videos on how to do it and then found out about DR activating when you go past the first 'orb's.
What i want to know is, short of BKBing the Bird statues every darn time, what strategy do you have for taking them out?
And if you BKB the statues away..Then, What will be our options when BKB has a cooldown?
Edit: I only have a ~250k range, with about 139% Boss damage. So BKBing the bird statues takes quite a while as it is.. The only videos I've seen are of people hitting 20m+ each line, which isn't helpful..

You shouldn't unless you're spammy. Even if you accidentally hit DR with BKB which is two hits while you're still at full HP, you should only get hit with 30k worth of dmg. If you hit it with the full FB>BKB combo, you're dead. I've tested DR many times and can verify that the 15k holds true.
@littletlk from what i've tested, pb's dr intervals is around 15s

If you'd like a strategy for bean himself if you're not good at timing DR, you should bait out the first DR. Only attack him during his attack animations. His first DR is around [__________] damage in.
ONLY attack during his attack animations. His little shuffle dance as he charges up his super KB attack is the best time for it.
After the first DR passes, you should attack all out for 5-6 good seconds, then go back to only attacking during his attack animations. And never use BKB as he gets ready to use DR. I only use FB after that initial 5-6 seconds of full attack because it makes it easier to see and I can tank a single hit of his DR at full health (and BKB is bad about double hitting DR).
I already did PB today, but if you like, I'll make a video showing this.

The first boss statue has a marble centered in the middle of a podium. If you stand so that avatar's feet just touches the right side of the podium and at the same time slightly touches the marble, you can attack with the 4th job skill without activating DR.

Does Dark Shock reach the bird statue? You'll probably have to spam BKB if dark shock does not.
BaMs ARE a melee class, so it's no surprise you're having trouble.
Reaper might be an option for when BKB has a cooldown. Chains and maybe Tornado can hopefully reach too. If not, we're pretty much screwed on that part. I usually just BKB them down without much hassle.
