Any tips for making friends that are like me?

In all my life I could never find a friend who was into what I was doing, or the same type as me(hardcore gamer with a social life)sorry if that sounded self centered
all my life I had friends that basically were the opposite of me, but respected my choices in life, I could never someone who was basically "me", I dont count my relatives even tho, im really closes with them with my hobbies of gaming , or people who I talk online from other places that arent my home town. is it because I have high standards of what my gaming buddy should be like?I can make buddy with people in midnight launches, but I never seem to find someone that right for me.

Honestly, none of my friends are even remotely anything like me. Hardly anyone alive is anything at all like me. Don't mean that in a special snowflake kind of sense, just that my situation growing up and life experiences are pretty far out there and my interests are all over the place. It's fine. What matters isn't our hobbies but that we enjoy each other's company.
