Yay. Slight concern about the graphics but that's never been Bethesda's strongsuit. They leave that to the modders who do a stunning job.

Tis in Boston, which is cool since I live there.
For Witcher, while I don't have either system or the game, I heard that it runs pretty similarly. However, X1 will lower graphics at certain points for smoother gameplay while the PS4 will try to keep its top quality even at the cost of frames. In other words, pretier on the PS4, smoother on the X1.

To me the graphics on the systems are pretty moot. As one of my bros has the ps4 and my other both. I personally don't see it. While its not the reason I prefere Xbox, Bestheda games tend to struggle or have more bugs on sony's console for some reason. I hope thats not the case this time or if it is, its not the X1 that suffers >_>.

Yeah, this is my first thought regarding Fallout 4 and Xbox vs PS4...I got lucky last gen when I got Skyrim on Xbox 360 on a whim. I've read tons about the game breaking bugs that game had on the ps4 for anyone with a lot of save files...basically it just stops running entirely.

In general with games that I seriously value...such as Skyrim, Fallout 3, New Vegas, after I enjoy it and beat it on whichever console I purchase the game on my computer via steam, etc, so that I can check out the modding community. I have hundreds of mods going on my copy of Skyrim right now and it's just awesome. They made entirely new locations...

And yeah, my computer handles virtually any game I try on it, even at the highest settings. I'm always shocked to see that sort of number for frames per second after reading about xbox and ps4 struggly to hit 30-60 fps and computers are topping 100, rofl

Regarding Witcher 3, there was a day 0 patch that actually fixed most of the fps issues that PS4 had been having in the reviewers early copies. Because of that the game runs perfectly fine for me...I tried it out on X1 at another store and quickly noticed the lower quality, however little it was, although both still look great. I would have been content with the game on either of my consoles.
In general thats true. The PS4 tends to receive most games at 1080p while the xbox receives them at 720 pixels. Thing is, for the most part, I cannot discern a difference so when it's a game that doesn't really pride itself on graphical fidelity I buy the game based around whether or not I already have another game taking up most of my time for the ps4. If I do I'll buy the game for X1 so that I can continue to play what I've been playing on ps4 and just hit the input button to switch between consoles/game without taking the time to take one disc out and put in another, etc.

However I have been enthralled with my ps4 copy of Dark Souls 2 so I would normally have bought Witcher 3 for X1...but the graphics are said to be a serious step down on the X1 so I bought it for my PS4.

The trailer looks graphically mediocre, bar the content they showed. Nevertheless, I'm still massively hyped after coming off the masterpieces that was New Vegas. Glad to see they incorporated Bostonian landmarks and more forms of American cultural nuance in a post-apocalyptic setting. Looking forward to its release.
Yep. Kinda confused about the graphical disparity between the scenes they showed and the way the dog looks somewhat cut and pasted into the scene at the beginning and the guy at the end.

But Bethesda always leaves the ini file accessible so everyone can make it great...modders took Skyrim from mediocre to having the best graphics of any game(in 2013ish anyways).
