How many shadow coins do nova capes cost?

Thread title. I want to get the nova cape for my DA but I don't want to do the quests just to find out I can't buy it (heard the quests take a long time). I have 96 coins, but I doubt I'm even close. Thanks.

You got a point it is a pretty good cape even if its not a tyrant I guess its worth it thanks
Nova capes are worthless now. I toss them because they're not even worth yolo enhancing with regular ees. 5 star tyrant capes are ridiculously cheap. In the hours you would spend farming Shadow Coins for a Nova cape, you could have farmed enough mesos/reward points to buy a Tyrant.

You're buying the second best cape/shoes in the game, it will last you a very very long time if you're not planning to buy or get a tyrant cape/shoes any time soon. I say you should do the quest line and get access to daily quest and start doing it right away.

If you have multiple characters, have them all kill easy Magnus, then buy the platinum scissor of karma from the reward point shop when you get the cape/shoes for your class.
With easy Magnus coins and daily qeust, you are expected to get one of the nova with coins within a month.
The daily quest sounds nice, but I wanted to avoid doing the quests to get to that place until I could actually get the cape. I heard they take like 7 hours or something and I don't want to spend my all my time questing then not have any time to play. I probably can't touch normal magnus either with 140k range so I might well just use a different cape. How many coins do the daily quests give anyway?
Yeah, there's a long string of quests before you can start getting coins from the Shadow Merchants. It's not difficult, just time consuming.

The daily quests only take a few minutes each day. It's things like "Collect 200 drops from stupidly easy monsters", or "Kill 100 of these red snail type monsters". More of an annoyance than difficult.
The problem is, you can only do 3 of the quests per day and the quests only give 1 or 2 coins each, depending on where they take place. The more difficult (relatively) ones give 2 coins, the really easy ones only 1 coin. Once in a while you get a quest to kill the mini-bosses and those give more coins (I forget exactly how many, but it's not much), but those are pretty rare.

So you normally can pick up from 3 to 6 coins a day, depending on which random quests come up. Since it takes 250 coins to buy a Nova cape, you can work backwards and figure it'll be anywhere from
approximately 41 days up to approximately 83 days, with an average of about 65 days, all depending on what quests you get. (I just realized I misspoke earlier... it was 3 months to get the capes for my mages, not 1 month.)

Since at the time I couldn't do Magnus alone, I just resigned myself to doing three quests each day after logging in, collecting 100 firewood from monsters and taking it to someone in the middle of nowhere in Helisium, then killing 200 somethings on the way back and delivering 100 whatzits to the Merchant, collecting my 3 or 6 coins and then going off to actually play Maplestory for the day.

Now that I think about it, I can't believe I actually stuck with it that long.
That's why I finally bit the bullet and just did the daily quests. The drop rate for Nova stuffs is pretty abysmal to begin with, and the odds of getting exactly the right one for your class are pretty awful when one does drop. It's too bad the Shadow Merchants don't let you trade in the items for the class you need, but that would be asking Nexon to actually use good game design. I'd have gladly paid a "restocking fee" to the merchants of like 20 coins to get the right class cape. Oh well.
@Avatar It took a month to earn enough coins for Nova capes for both my mages back when they first came out.
Since you're seriously limited as to how many coins you can get per day it takes forever to save up enough to get anything.
I wasn't having any luck with the drops from the mini-bosses so I just did the daily quests before doing anything else in the game each day.
For a month.

I believe it's 250 coins for a nova cape. You can use a hyper teleport rock from the rewards shop to go to the shadow coins merchant.
