Heavens Door Hnghhhhhhhhh

http://orangemushroom.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/heavens-door-effect.gif

I just splooged myself.
Heaven's Door: The door to Heaven is opened, giving the blessing of life to allies allowing them to revive if they hit 0 HP while punishing up to 15 enemies dealing 1200% damage 8 times. There is a cooldown of 180 seconds. The maximum damage for this skill is 9,999,999.

Res + another essentially a Soul Stone skill in the same character.
9600% damage on each enemy * 15 = 144000% damage instantly.
On top of that, with the hyper Crit buff bishops will rather easily obtain 100% crit. so that alone gives another 1.2-1.5x multiplier

Looks like the final patch has made it into KMS proper.
http://orangemushroom.wordpress.com/2012/09/19/kms-ver-1-2-173-evolving-system-warrior-and-magician-hyper-skills/#more-4307

Nothing apprears to have changed for us since KMSt ver. 1.2.451. Kinda iffed about nerfing the status resist of HS from 20 -> 10% from the last KMSt patch, but seeing as how awesome everything else is, I guess I can't really complain.

Also, LOL @ skill books in the cash shop

I wouldn't be surprised if the res-buff you get from heaven's door worked like phantom's final feint.

Reply September 16, 2012
DrStrangenoob

Huh... guess I was wrong. Looks like it works essentially like a better, party version of final feint rather than a second Res. I don't see any buff duration in the skill description, so I'm guessing it'll last indefinitely like final feint until you self res automatically. Wonderful, a refreshable self-res skill every 3 minutes on top of our normal after the fact Res <3

Though one advange I'd give to soul stone over this skill is that since you self-res automatically, you can still end up wasting the heaven's door auto res buff and die a second time due to DR. Which can be a huge annoyance at empress, if you have a hurricane speed attacker like a Merc or phantom who attacks empress during party DR more than once.

Edit: Some additional thoughts. I can see this being a wonderful defense against zombify, if you end up healing in the middle of a hectic boss run right before the delayed zombify icon shows up, it can give you a second chance to react. This also looks absolutely invaluable to have when fighting Magnus with all his 1-hit kill attacks, since I don't think a self-res skill like this would deplete Magnus's death count meter.

Still doesn't compare to this skill since that skill does damage over time, this one does INSTANT 1.2 billion

The Hyper critical buff has a level 198 requirement. I don't think that qualifies as letting us hit 100% critical easily.
Magician skills actually look ugly AF.
Everything is so flashy, yet they get one item that's summoned and is magically supposed to kill everything?

No. Monsters even need to be near it.

Look at luminous' super nova.

And at above:

The knight of light is summoned and performs a deadly thrust that deals 1000% damage 8 times on up to 15 enemies inflicting a debuff that allows Mikhail's Final Attack to activate 100% of the time for 30 seconds. There is a cooldown of 90 seconds. The maximum damage for this skill is 9,999,999.

This is the current strongest since it enables 100% FA after doing 1.2bil.
Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't notice that.
Of course I've heard of them before, but for an ultimate attacking skill? I'd imagine something more along the lines of a giant holy sword crashing onto the ground, in the vein of Golden Sun's Ragnarok, or Titan Blade, you know?
Have you ever watched "Mahoutsukai to Teishi no Futekisetsu na Kankei"?
The protagonist was using a "Heaven's Door" like skill to fight against his opponent.

@bubblecup118: Well the Angel of Vengence skill is a toggle skill so you can always turn it off and rebuff, then turn if on again. No big deal.

@f1uttershy:

There are three types of Hyper Skills. The first is stat enhancing passives (S), there are 13 of these and are common for all jobs. The second is skill enhancing passives (P), there are 9 of these, separated into 3 enhancing skills for 3 skills. Finally, there are the attack/buff actives (A), of which there are 3. One attacking skill and two buffs.

To get SP for your Hyper Skills, all you have to do is level up! Every 10 levels from 140 to 200, you'll get specific SP for each of your tabs. They total to 6 S SP, 5 P SP, and 3 A SP.

I don't even care for that, Vengeance of Angel looks amazing to me. <3

Faster speed on AR, +1 attack, +20% damage, too bad you can only use AR/Teleport when it's active.

@bubblecup118 Then buff before you use it, and it's a toggle skill so no cooldown (at least not yet, please don't add one).

1) Judging from the gif image of that sword, i'd say it's the smallest hyper skill i've seen. (correct me if im wrong here)
The dot effect is the main part as to why this is the godliest hyper skill - 20% chance to hit 700% again + 700% dot for 30sec.

2) The network of lazers seems pretty small to me after i've watched a vid on someone using it. it's like 1/3 range size of hermit's dark flare o.o

Also, i'm curious on how a glittery door would hit on a monster....

For the first question, look at MagnaAngemon's "Door of Destiny" attack. *from Digimon*
For the second, near-constant stance with infinity, buff mastery, and the Mihile Link and a 20% reduction in elemental damage on top of 20% reduction in all damage seems pretty nice to me O-o
But yes, I'd rather have the f/p one, lol

The door is nice, but the angel ray toggle on/off mode made my day. 5 hit angel ray with 50 more m att, 20% more damage and 20% more ignore pdr? I dont care what anyone says, thats hands down the best hyper skill any class has (imo)
*shrugs* I found this hyper skill patch way exceeded my expectations. I was fully expecting something lame like "hyper genesis" for our hyper skills. As for a giant sword dropping on enemies, no thanks. Luminous already has that skill.

I'd love for it to work like a better version of soulstone, but I'm not seeing a description of a buff duration, or a self-res ability in the description. I'm thinking it'll be something more like having a second Res skill, which I have no objections to. A 3 minute Res + nuke is just wonderful <3 Plus we still have regular Res as backup in case someone dies during the cooldown.

Also, arcane overdrive gives us +25% minimum crit damage, so our crit multiplier is actually 1.45-1.5x damage
Also, don't forget arcane aim for +40% damage
Also, stack that with last 6 seconds of infinity for a 2x boost in damage on top of all that.

It should be fun seeing how all that damage stacks together.
